An enchanting grape found in the cool Itata Valley - Chile's oldest wine region.
País, pronounced pie-ees, is a red wine grape with a prominent history in the Chilean wine industry. País was brought by Spanish conquistadors and for centuries was responsible for all the reds produced in the region. At the turn of the 21st century, it was overtaken by French varieties considered far more noble in quality and elegance. But now País is being appreciated for its fresh, charming and easy-drinking reds, reviving its long heritage. Try it with traditional Chilean dishes such as 'Lentejas' lentil and sausage stew or 'Charquicán' slow-cooked beef stew with squash and potatoes.

Delicious!
Yes, I recommend this
Easy to drink (maybe too easy). I'm not a wine expert so I don't know the proper lingo but this red wine has a mellow raisin-y flavour that is yummy!

Took a chance on this beautiful Chilean red and was delighted - easy to drink, lovely aromas. My dinner guests really enjoyed it, would definitely purchase again.

a bad one, a very bad one
No, I don't recommend this
I bought this today and rarely have I been so disappointedIt tastes dirt and gritty a very unpleasant mouthful. You have many excellent wines particularly from the Rhone valley and even others from Chille.
