Linen Blend Herringbone Trousers

As many other reviewers have found, these trousers are more like scrubs. Although they are stated a 'straight leg' - they are not fitted and come up quite large and baggy. The material however is beautifully soft and light-weight. Perfect for me for summer, as I work in a school where I wear a uniform and need comfy, easy-wash clothes. I ended up buying a couple of pairs. Thanks M&S!

I have the blue version so was hoping the beige would be as good. I have had lots of compliments for the blue version. I don't wear them rolled up because I'm tall and also because I wear them to work with a tunic. Great trousers for summer. Can be smart or casual. Well done.

Returned because they looked like overhauls, far from smart casual.

Love these trousers.The material is so soft and they keep there shape all day.They wash well,and iron easily.I have 3 pairs in different colours.

I wanted these in white but they had all been sold and no more stock seems to be coming in as I have been checking regularly. Had the light chambray instead and have now ordered the chambray as they are the only colours available in my size - please note M&S, more stock required! A little big for the size so I went down a size which was fine. Comfortable for all day wear. Warmer than the linen mix trousers I also purchased so perhaps not for the warmest weather days but really nice shape. Not sure about the turn up on the trouser legs but don't let that put you off as they are not secured in this style and can simply be pulled down - once ironed flat they look like ordinary trousers and are great. Not sure why M&S turned them up and left them loose if they meant them to be worn turned up as my other linen mix trousers with turn up were sown up that way and was obviously meant to be permanent. Not washed yet so cannot comment but I have not had any problems with M&S linen trousers before as long as you follow the washing instructions! Would recommend.

I have bought two pairs of these for work in black and they have both faded after a couple of washes at 30degrees. Ok if you really wanted dark grey!

I did not like either the cut or the fabric. One pair was dirty round the bottom of the legs when it arrived at the store. There was no particular shape to them.

Bought these in the blue and cream great trousers loved the fit style and material. More like this please M&S

The trousers aren't straight leg but tapering to an oddly furled hem which is quite difficult to straighten out. I was disappointed in the shape as it tends to make them look baggy at the top and gathered at the foot like jogging pants. Otherwise the material is light and comfortable and would be nice for summer had the article been more simply styled. The label with them said "peg leg". I have no idea what that is supposed to mean.

Well worth spending the extra on these linen trousers to the £17.50 ones, heavier linen and better fit. Like the narrower leg for a change. My usual size was a little big on me and had to go down a size for better fit. Wish there was a bigger choice of colors as I'd buy more.

Purchased yesterday in a larger branch of m&s hadn't seen them before and they are a little on the generous side and did consider going down a size but allowing for washing thought I would stick with my size and they are for comfort !! M&s linen trousers are great !!

I wanted to buy these for my mum. She liked the style and the fit but they were too short. Unfortunately the medium length was not available in her size, which was disappointing as I ordered these in May - I didn't expect there to be a shortage so early in the season.
