Best Value for Money Lego Set ever
Originally posted on LEGO
Yes, I recommend this
This is a relatively quick build, and the end product is definitely not 'playable', but it is without question one of the best looking Lego sets, and the value for money on this set is incredible. The build is in 5 bags IIRC and took about 3-4 hours total, which I spread over a weekend. It's not a particularly difficult build, although there are some challenges in terms of bits falling off etc. Longer term this also reduces the 'playability' of the finished product - though I suspect most people display it rather than play with it. And on display it is one of my favourite Lego items, probably up there with the Typewriter. It's surprisingly large in real life, which given the relatively low price makes it feel remarkably good value. I've also gifted this set a couple of times including to non-Lego fans, and it's always gone down really well.

Challenging build

When I say challenging, I mean due to some complex parts which the set has. I did struggle with parts falling off whilst trying to attach another part which was really frustrating at times. I did dismantle and start again as some parts just didnt seem right and the front wheel still doesn't seem to be secure but it is now complete and displayed with some other sets and its a gorgeous little vehicle. I love it.

Visually Stunning

The Vespa is a beautiful and detailed set that is great for any adult or teen. The 18+ age rating is there due to the fact that it is very delicate and has no real play features. The front wheel is too weak to roll around for any kids without breaking or bending. The color and stickers are pretty good but not 100% color matched. Not too many stickers to be annoying. The helmet and flower bouquet are beautiful and fun accessories. Make sure you are careful with where you hold the model as certain sections fall off easily. Great display piece.

Pretty but…

It’s beautiful but extremely flimsy. Be prepared to have the front fall apart when moving. Kickstand lifts front half up into the air when fully extended.

I loved building this vespa, my father used to own one, so brought a lot of old Memories. Details on the vespa are amazing. A word of caution, it is not an easy build takes time and if you miss one spot/item than the scooter is not stable, I see a few people saying it falls apart- but if built properly it is very stable. This is a must for every lego builder.

Missing so many pieces

I am very disappointment for this product, when I bought it the first time, it is missing 5 pieces, then i return the package for exchange, then again, missing 4 pieces ... this is horrible. I will not buy lego again, forget it.

Terrible

I thought this would be a fun build, it looked beautiful on the cover, but when i started to build it, it quickly became a chore. The pieces do not hold well together, it broke too many times to count and it was missing a few pieces. it’s very fragile overall that if you even touch it it’ll break. do not recommend unless you have the will and patience of a soldier

Lovely end product but flimsy!

This was the 9th lego kit I have built and must say it wasn't the most enjoyable experience. Things kept falling apart, flimsy. Had to redo some parts as they wasn't quite right. I have trouble building from the book, I prefer the building app because the pieces are more clearer I am pleased with the finished product so was worth the stress!

Delightful and Rewarding Build

I recently had the pleasure of putting together the LEGO Icons Vespa 125 Scooter, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The design is both charming and intricate, capturing the classic elegance of the Vespa in miniature form. I found the assembly process to be thoroughly enjoyable and engaging. Before diving into this project, I read reviews from various stores selling this set and noticed a recurring theme in the negative feedback. Many reviewers expressed frustration over the pieces falling off easily during assembly (I almost didn’t purchase this set because of these reviews, but I’m so happy I did!). I can understand their concerns, as I did notice that the pieces require precise and firm connections. However, I found that as long as each LEGO piece is properly and securely connected, the assembly holds together quite well. The key to avoiding any issues with pieces disconnecting is to ensure that you push each piece in firmly. By doing this, I didn't encounter any problems with the pieces falling off. The satisfaction of seeing the Vespa take shape and the sense of accomplishment upon completing it was well worth the effort. Overall, I highly recommend the LEGO Icons Vespa 125 Scooter set. It's a fun and rewarding build that results in a beautiful model, perfect for display. Just take your time, ensure each piece is securely connected, and you'll have a wonderful experience putting it together. When I seen a Tiktoker combine Lego Groot riding his Lego Vespa, I just had to redo it!

Lovely but fragile

The Vespa was one of my first larger builds. Its beautiful in every way, including the color. As I got close to finished, it did keep breaking apart. It needs to be put up on it's stand & displayed. Don't regret purchase.

Visually great, build quality low

Build is extremely sensitive. Can barely affix connected sections without the entire thing falling apart but if you can put it together without the entire thing falling apart, make sure you put it somewhere where nobody can breathe on it.

Absolut love it!!! It was vey fun to buil and it's beautiful to watch. On top I'm Italian and for me the Vespa is a timeless icon. Extremely recommended. Only down side, some part are fragile so you have to handle with care: the frame it's rock solid, but the seating, the side covers and the front wheel are week. As decorations it's perfect, looks astonishing. To play with it like a toy is not a good choice.

Unfortunately this is the worst lego set I've ever purchased. It was a gift for my mum who has built several sets before but the model just keeps falling apart. She even asked me to help in case she was doing something wrong but you only have to gently touch one area for it to fall away from another. She eventually completed the build having to add a few extra bits just to hold it together. It looks nice but touch it at your peril. It's a shame as all other sets have been brilliant. It's a real let down.

Cute, but missing pieces and could be improved
Originally posted on LEGO

I like this Vespa and I'm glad I purchased it, it looks cute on my shelf. However, I was missing two of the pieces needed for the back wheels, and it appears they were replaced with similar shaped rubber pieces. However, the instructions were not consistent with the pieces I received which made it a bit confusing to put together. There is also some gapping in the pieces and it is overall not as complete looking as others.

I am presently building this kit. I like to build larger kits by one bag of pieces a day. Makes the fun last longer. My mom had a Vespa when I was a child, I loved going on rides with her!
