Leather Wide Leg Trousers

Not what I expected and the first Jaeger purchase I can’t find anything positive about. The colour was different - not the rich and warm tan in the pics. More of a light neutral toned brown. To me, the leather was a little rough - no smooth, buttery softness that I’m used to with M&S higher end leather clothing. The leather had a slight ‘stiffness’ to it and so the trousers didn’t fall nicely. There was a lot of excess material in the stomach and crotch area. The waist came up to just below my bust - not an issue I usually have- and was too generous. The thigh/hip area jutted out oddly. It felt like there was no intention to the shaping in the legs - the width at the hem seemed out of proportion with the width at the thighs (i.e not very wide legged at the hems but very wide at the thighs). I’m 5ft 4 and usually regular leg length in M&S. They only just reached the top of my feet. Bought my usual size (I’m a curvy 14). Perhaps would have been better in a size smaller. Not a nice enough trouser to reorder and, in my view, not value for money. Of course, others may find them more appealing and a better fit.
