Disappointed With This Dress

Good points - dress style with long sleeves and better weight of fabric than many similar garments. Not Good - Size, not fitting as shown in photos, though I purchased my usual size. I might have returned and requested a smaller size, but it wasn’t in stock. The dress is too long for an attractive midi length, again different from the photo, (though models are usually taller than average). A petite length would be better, but isn’t offered. I bought the dress to wear at a funeral so due to time restrictions I kept it and altered it to fit better. Obviously this wasn’t convenient, but necessary. On balance, whilst not an expensive item, for the price I would have expected better sizing and quality. I’ve not purchased this brand before.

The dress is flattering to your figure. Just about the right length for a 5’2 person. A little disappointing that it wasn’t a slightly thicker material. Didn’t feel of a great quality textile for the price but serves it purpose for a smart black dress

Lovely heavy material smart black dress. Fitted to size (12) and easy to iron if need be. Was long on me as only 5’4” but looked elegant, comfortable to wear. Everyone complimented on how gorgeous it was. Good value for money as bought on offer.

I ordered online and collected from local M&S. Could not believe how small the bag it was in i did expect it would be on a hanger Due to the size of the bag it was extremely creased very disappointing. The dress was just what I wanted so hung the dress in a warm room hoping the creases would fall out, eventually I had to press it. Not the sort of customer service I would expect from M&S. Makes me think twice before ordering online again for another similar.

Great fit - well proportioned but not too tight, nicely draping fabric, good quality, suitable for any occasion by dressing up or down and adding colour. At 5'4" size 12, I found the length a little dowdy. Reducing the hem by 15cm transformed the dress for me.

I ordered this dress to wear now the weather is getting cooler. It arrived VERY badly folded and extremely creased. Some tissue between the folds would have been appreciated. It is not lined, not even just the bodice or the skirt. Lining would reduce the amount of "clinginess" and would hang better. I will make a lining myself to improve the garment. I would be willing to pay more for a lined dress.
