I was looking for something plain and simple as I have a variety of different coloured jackets and wow did this fit the bill ! The cut and design is superb, the material is soft, a nice thickness and drapes beautifully. I am normally a size 14 but this has a decent amount of stretch without showing lumps and bumps and I comfortably fit a size 12. Definitely a dress for all sorts of occasions, will look at other colours for sure.

This has a good drape as the fabric is quite heavy. It’s ideal for winter wear and I bought the black one to wear for a funeral. I am a size 12 ( size 10 with some brands) and it fits perfectly. I turned up the hem half an inch as it was too long. I’m 5’6.

The dress is a good fit. However I added some shoulder pads to give it a more defined shape. The fabric is heavier than I was expecting but it allows the dress hang well and it looks more expensive than it was.

I was really pleased when I tried on, just what I wanted. I cut the label off and began to press the creases out when I noticed that one of the side seams wasn’t stitched. I felt I had no choice but to keep and repair the dress. I will scrutinise every purchase from now on and I have never had to do this before

This dress although a little big on the waist, fits well & I like the length. The colour is great & I managed to source belt in eactly the same shade. So a win-win!

I’m not thrilled with this dress but it was the only one which appealed. I wouldn’t wear it to go out in unless it were a very mundane occasion. My loyalty to M&S is fast waning as after many decades I find the standards of style and material nowhere near as good as it once was. Such a pity! If only you would look in your archives. The compliments I get are always aimed at an M&S dress which is extremely old!!

Green winter dress
Good weight dress so that it hangs well and nice plain colour. Very pleased with the speedy delivery to store. The sizing was true to size. I am 5ft 5ins ,size 10 and found it a little long so may shorten it slightly. Not yet worn but looks crease resistant.

Great dress for work in winter. It arrived very creased from being folded up in the parcel and I haven’t had time to iron it to use it yet. I intend to wear it with opaque tights and a jacket for work as the material is not too thick. and I think it will suit both boots or court shoes. Colour is a bit dull, it would be nice if it came in some brighter colours.
