Hybrid RN Patterned Training Trainers
Product code: T249057X
About this style
The Hybrid RN trainers pair a forefoot Air Zoom unit with ReactX foam for responsive cushioning during sprints and squats alike. Nike builds a wide outsole using both sticky and high-abrasion rubber to hold traction across dynamic gym movements. An X-shaped overlay on the upper works with the laces to help secure the foot when switching between exercises.

They were supportive and firm enough for my lifts and strength training yet had surprising spring/cushion for my shorter runs. There was decent amount of traction and very little break in was needed. The tongue is thin and padded and while not as light as running shoes they were still pretty lightweight. The only downside for me is that there aren’t any heel tabs but the heel itself is very sturdy and doesn’t crumble when putting on the shoe. I personally like the style, the comfort, and the versatility in being able to go from a lift to a HIIT session to a quick run without having to change into different pairs of shoes.

Love just make sure you order a 1/2 size ip

I absolutely love the shoe, I just wish when I ordered the day of release that I knew to order a 1/2 size up. They do run small but hopefully they will break in.

Nike Hybrid Training Shoes

Great addition to shoe rotation for running and lifting
Originally posted on Nike
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time trying a hybrid athletic shoe, and so far I am really impressed. During my easier daily runs, the shoe feels light and supportive, making my miles feel almost effortless. The flat sole provides a great, stable base for strength training days, and I love that I can seamlessly transition from running to lifting without having to swap shoes. The cushioning is right on par with other running shoes in my rotation. Plus, the sleek, all-black design translates well into an everyday shoe (it looks great with jeans!). The toe box was a little tight at first, but that was an easy fix by switching to a thinner sock. Overall, I highly recommend this shoe for its versatility in combining running and lifting.

A Shoe That Can Do Both

I really appreciate the versatility of these shoes because they provide the sturdiness I need for lifting and the support I need for running on the treadmill. I also love the design details, especially the mesh around the toe area. They do feel a little stiff right out of the box, so I'd give them some time to break in before writing them off. I'd also recommend going up a half size, especially if you plan on running in them. Overall, I love having just one pair of shoes that can handle both parts of my workout.

Favorite versatile kicks!

I need sneakers that are good to walk around, workout and travel; more often than not I bring 2 pairs, I took a chance this time and only brought these and it paid off. Comfortable and versatile. I tried them on light workout only, great for HIIT workouts, cardio sessions and some light weight lifting - can’t attest outside of these conditions yet. I got these pretty dusty and was able to clean them easily, Time will tell on durability but I highly recommend these shoes!

The shoe was overall a great fit, very comfortable and easy to maneuver in. It was easy to put on the shoe as well. Overall, like the design of the shoe, however I wish it had more of a cute look with a variation of colors. For a black shoe definitely would buy it. It allowed me to run fast without slipping on turf again, my suggestion, and how I would improve the shoe is to add another color to it. I believe it was just give it better visibility while on the shelves urging people to buy.

Absolutely love these

I run on the treadmill and do floor training and these shoes were very comfortable for any exercise I performed. The design was simple, but just enough to where it wasn’t overwhelming. Very breathable material. I have a black pair and love bright colors so I would love to have this shoe in a different color. 5/5 recommend.

Perfect for lifting and cardio days!

I typically lift weights and do cardio, which can include running on the treadmill. These shoes felt extremely comfortable lifting, while also being supportive during my incline walk or run. Other shoes I’ve used for workouts have caused stress on my shins while on a treadmill, all my workouts thus far with these shoes have caused no pain with my shins. I know it can be hard to find a shoe that’s comfortable to lift in while maintaining a stable base, these check both boxes. I will say they are a little snug at first in the toe area, but they stretch out a little as you break them in through a couple uses. I’m a size 9 in all shoes and have a 9 in these for reference. These will be my go-to everyday workout shoes now.

Better training shoe in my opinion

I have a few thoughts on these, first of all I think they’re a touch small for me, I am normally a 7 but I think a 7.5 would feel better on my feet. My toe is pretty close to the top and since these brand themselves as partially a running shoe I think eventually my toe would be bothered so I would recommend sizing up half a size. Second, these are a stiffer material and I personally like when my running shoes have a bit more flex in the material. I think these are better training shoes than running shoes to me, the bottoms are a bit flatter and they don’t have that same rock that some running shoes have. But the stiffer material and flatter bottoms for me is what I prefer in a training shoe my feet feel supported and pretty stabilized and could lift or do circuits in these. These are also pretty dark I think it’s nice that the swoosh and some of the features stay neutral and are kind of no nonsense, the other colors have more contrast if you want something brighter which is nice! But these shoes seem overall really durable and could be a good hybrid shoe if you don’t need that kind of rocking motion in your running shoes. When I ran in them I didn’t love it as much for me but training in these shoes was pretty comfortable. So overall I’d say these are a fine hybrid but maybe a better training shoes than running shoe and also to size up half a size.

Postpartum fitness heaven

After I had baby, my foot grew almost a full-size, so this shoe was wide enough and very comfortable. I started lifting weight again, along with keeping up with my cardio, and I find the shoe perfect for both worlds. I love being able to wear them while I run around with my toddler and keep them on for my workouts. The shoe is lightweight, and the material seems strong. The only thing I would change is wanting the tongue to easily stay up as I put my foot in, but it is a super quick fix by just pulling up on the tongue. I love that it’s all black!

Beautiful shoe, bad fit
Originally posted on Nike
Aesthetically, these shoes are beautiful! However and unfortunately, yes, they fit small and wide. I have an average size foot (not wide) and these shoes fit so wide that each step down the fabric of the sides of the shoe collapsed and it didn't look right at all. Beautiful shoe but just doesn't fit right.

Good workout shoe

I say size up a half size if you like more space in the toe box. They were tighter than I like, which made them a little uncomfortable. However, I think I just needed a bigger size. They have a wide toe box, and I like the tongue design. It is thin and cut in a way that doesn't dig into your foot. Overall, this is a solid pair of shoes.

Durable Training Shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a really great training shoe to try. It has exceptional cushion at the soles which gives a good bounce when walking. The material is mixed and feels very durable. They are easy to wear and look great with training shorts, capris, and pants. I have used them for both casual wear for errands and training. If I had it my way, I would add just a tiny bit more room around the toe box. I have a wider foot and after so long of standing in these I will get a tightness that gets uncomfortable. However, they still fit true to size and I would not size up. Overall, the silhouette of the shoe is fashionable and the immediate comfort is good for a quick run out or an hour session in the gym. It is not a shoe I would recommend for multiple hours on your feet.

Too small and uncomfortable

I was so excited to receive these. Was super disappointed in the comfort. Sized up like they suggested and it’s both too tight, width and length. Bummed out because they’re really nice looking.

If you prefer a little wiggle room for your toes, I would recommend sizing up. However, if you like a snug fit, stick with your true size! Overall, these are nice shoes!
