This dress is so simple yet everyone who saw me in it commented how elegant it looks. I'm a standard size 19 at 5'6" and found that the size 8 fitted me better. Absolutely love this classic style and colour and looked great dressed down with a denim jacket and flat pumps but will look equally great dressed up for an evening out

Perfect summer tea dress

Bought this in the sale, really love it! It looks so vintage and perfect for summer! The sleeves are really pretty, they do slightly puff but it adds to the vintage look I was after in a tea dress. The bust area is really flattering. I’m usually a size 8 but after reading reviews I decided to order a size 6 and it fits perfectly! (I can see why a size up would be to big on the bust due to the wide opening V shape) I teamed it with the almond raffia style court shoe and a red lip...... to walk around my back garden. Looking forward to wearing it out for a glass of wine in the future. Side note - I did think the fabric would be slightly softer - But it’s more a rough /crunchy material, and the neckline could be less of a wide fit, that is my only criticism.

I really liked this dress but just too long , I’m 5.4 but it was nearly to the floor so too long to be a midi on me.I ordered the 12 but would definitely need a 24 for the bust I’m a 36 Please m and s do different lengths it so hard to find midi dresses in the correct length.

No, I don't recommend this
Dress is a lovely fit and shape, but the sleeves really let it down. The fabric is soft so the sleeves just hang flat and are are not very complimentary. Couldn't recommend.

After reading some of the reviews I wasn't sure whether to order this, but I'm glad I did. Material is better that expected, and not stiff - it hangs well and is not see through. I would have preferred straight sleeves rather than slightly puffed, but they look ok. I am a 12 to 14 on top and 14 bottom, so find the top slightly gappy, but I can easily adjust the top buttton so solve this. Do give it a try.

Bad cut and awful material

First, this dress is designed to fit someone with a long body and wide shoulders. The first button fell below my bra! Second, the material is very crunchy, the type of viscose that doesn't breathe well.

Good staple for summer

I like the style, fit and material. The only problem is that one sleeve is more gathered than the other at the shoulder - the sleeves are slightly puffed, and whilst the gathering makes the left sleeve slightly raised as you'd expect, the right sits competely flat, which looks odd. I have now sent for two of these and both are the same. Wondering whether to try to alter, or just return. Apart from this I would be happy

for the puff sleeve, which did not suit me. So disappointed, as I really wanted a flattering well designed dress with no frills or twiddly bits. Please bring another one out in the same design, same material, same fit BUT with straight sleeves

This is a lovely dress; I liked the length (mid calf) and the style, and was looking forward to wearing it. Unfortunately the neck line is too low for me although it looked fine on the model on the website. I also didn't like the style of the sleeves; the gathering made them look too puffy detracting from the slim line of the dress, and didn't suit me. I have, sadly, returned it to the store. Please don't be put off by my review though.
