[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the earlier version. This one feels too wide and heavier. Reasons why I don’t like the Hoka brand. It gave me blisters in the side of my feet.

Supportive and cute

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So supportive and cushiony! The rocker on the front is a learning curve, but makes me speedier while walking! I also look 2 inches taller, score.

Downgrade from the glycerin max 1
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
I’ve dealt with loads of shin issues in the past while training as a distance runner, and the glycerin max was like a breath of fresh air and felt amazing to run in. I was excited to try out the glycerin max 2 which originally seemed to work well- but after about a month of use I can say I will never run in them again. The heel is super low leaving instability when taking fast turns and the cushioning in the heel is not flat which has left me with pain in both of my Achilles heel. I really wanted to love these but they are nothing like the original. I can no longer find the original glycerin max in my size and will be transition back into wearing the ghost max.

Great cushion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great shoe for running my half marathon. Soft cushion for my feet while running. Quality material. Enjoyed the comfort it brought to my feet while running. Highly recommend for someone looking for extra cushion for their feet. My legs didn’t get as tired and didn’t hurt like pass races.

I wanted to love them

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE the glycerin max 1… I have 3 pairs. I have a fairly narrow foot and the toe box on these is scrunching my foot even with going up a half size. I wanted to love these so much because of the pink. I’m going to try a full size up and hope I like them better.

More narrow compared to the Glycerin Max originals
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
These Glycerin Max 2’s are a lot more narrow compared to the originals. I have 4 pairs of the originals which were / are my favorite. I marathon trained in them for 5+ months and wore them during as well. I am going to size up half a size to see if this helps as the tops of my toes are squished in my normal size.

More narrow vs original Glycerin Max V1
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
The new Glycerin Max 2 feel more narrow vs the Glycerin Max originals. I’ve owned 4 pairs of the originals. I need to size up half a size as the top of my toes don’t have enough room compared.

Just misses the mark
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a long distance runner and normally use Hokas/Adidas/Nike/Saucony/New Balance for long runs. It’s been awhile since I bought a pair of Brooks (prefer their older styles) and figured I’ve give these a try. I recently ran both a 5k and half marathon in them and could tell a difference from my other choice of running shoes. While these are cushioned, they feel on the heavy side to me. I don’t really get a springy like feeling wearing these when I run. They are comfortable, good for a 5k, but don’t recommend doing a half in them as I felt a bit worn due to the heaviness of the shoe. I like the springy feeling you get with running, and this misses the mark. I don’t plan to do anymore long runs in these. I will say these are great for walking and good shoes for being on your feet all day. No knee, skin, or foot pain. Maybe they are good for short runs but I don’t like the “chunkiness” and heavier weight to them. I will stick with my Adidas/Nike/Hoka/Saucony/New Balance for my longer runs. The concept is nice, but misses the mark.
