Girls Knitted Tube Skirt (Older Girls)

I was hoping to avoid getting this kind of thing but this seemed a fair compromise between the things my daughter was pointing out and my preferences! Thick, strong fabric, reinforced areas and visible seams (must be a trend!) and not ultra short. Always need to buy a size or two smaller for my slim girl (she's 13 and this is 11-12). It has my approval! Glad M&S still make proper clothing acceptable to slightly prudish parents!

My daughter isn't allowed pleats or splits for school which leaves us with very little choice. This skirt is fine and washes well but even she thinks it should be an inch longer. We tried the next size up but the length is exactly the same.

Ordered this for my tall, slim 9 year old granddaughter. She wanted a school skirt that was a mini length and had no pleats! A tall order but after much searching this was perfect. Didn't really expect it to fit as she is so slender but it did and she is one happy little girl! And the value for money means she can have two more!

As our local M&S does not stock much uniform I had to order online and ordered a selection of skirts for my 11 year old daughter to try on at home. She loved this skirt, now she is not a skinny or slim girl but has developed and grown up early so is tall, broad and curvy and becoming even more beautiful . She likes that she can move about easily in this skirt and if she wears it on her natural waist line it is rather short but can pull it down to her hips for a reasonable length. School is strict with skirt lengths and other girls have been pulled up for wearing skirts too short, my daughter never has.

I bought this skirt as it was exactly the skirt my daughter wanted for school. Unfortunately, when she tried it on it fell straight to her knees as the waist size was very large. I appreciate my daughter is slim but the sizing was overly generous, especially on a stretch skirt. However, she is so keen to wear it that I have had to take it to be altered (which cost more than the skirt). Would be excellent value for money for a girl with a larger waist.
