Not quite 'skinny'
No, I don't recommend this
The trousers had a brilliant adjustable waist however, they were not 'skinny fit' they were very large around the thighs and knees and too short on the length. Disappointed i would not recommend them for people looking for school trousers that are actually slim fitting!

Sorry M and S you appear to have dropped the ball on this item. Skinny by definition has to be tight to the leg. These were not. I know they have an adjustable waist but not all children are large. In order to make these fit the waist they bunched and lost shape. Please try again as M and S usually have the best school wear.

Really disappointed in the drop in quality of the fabric used in M & S school trousers this year. The fabric is very thin, definitely not as hard-wearing as last year. Always used M & S for school wear, but I'm shopping elsewhere now.

The trousers looked more slim line on the pictures than in real life. Other than that I am happy with the puchase, the quality and fabric are very good. Irons well. Modern cut, will recommend.

I have had so much trouble trying to find trousers long enough for my 11 year old daughter. Why aren't there more styles available in longer lengths. My daughter is 5'4" and medium build but we had to buy age 16 to get the right length. Not all children are short and skinny!

I had to order these online as not stocked in my local store. My 11 year old daughter wanted something other than bootleg. She has developed early and is tall, well built and very curvy. She is not fat at all all. She loved these trousers and felt very comfortable in them. However, found out that from age 14 the length remains the same which is not good, as different lengths should be available. so now gone onto the longer length trousers. On the plus side well done M&S for not assuming all girls are skinny and they come in all shapes and sizes. its not just skinny girls that want to wear skinny, slim or straight legged trousers.

I had to order the next size down for my slim but not skinny daughter as they were massive on the hips and thighs. The smaller size was better but still a bit baggy round the thighs.
