Good first edition
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the concept of a trail version of the Ghost and the first few runs have been positive. I wear a 14 wide and this feels narrower than the Ghost 17 I have in the same size/width though not enough to return. As others have stated: I also wish more than color option was available in a wide.

Just as great a ghost road so far
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far have only used these on snow covered roads. In the spring planning to get on gravel trails. I wear the ghost road shoes and it was a seamless transition to going to the ghost trail. I did need to drop down a 1/2 size

Ghost Trail Affects

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ghost Trail Brooks shoes are great. The shoes provide outstanding running and walking pleasures. Running and walking on trails has minimum impact on feeling what’s on the trail.

Ghost Trail, great all around running sneaker
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent first attempt by Brooks at making the Ghost into a Trail running shoe. 30 miles in them and they are my new favorite training sneaker. Uppers are a little more stable and solid than the standard Ghost and the traction both on and off road is excellent. Very comfortable right out of the box (usual Brooks) Faster than expected. Will buy a couple pairs.

Cool vibing sneakers

Great shoe overall, couple minor nitpicks, more color ways for wide sizes and a gore-tex option for this shoe would be sick.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great shoe, no complaints except for the lack of color ways in wide and the lack of a gore-tex option. Wouldn’t really change a thing outside of that. Ordered a half size up and wide compared to my “daily driver” vans Atwood’s. I’d love a mid top or high top gore-Tex version for inclement weather trail hikes but it is great shoe nonetheless. Way better than the new balance 515 I was using on the trail before.

Amazing innovation!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Big fan of the Brooks Ghost! I’ve been using them for the last 12 years and have owned every version of the Ghost. This one fits just like the Ghost 10. The responsiveness while walking is outstanding—they’re incredibly light. Highly recommended!

Ghosts Off the Beaten Path
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3 runs under my belt so far and I really enjoy the comfort of the shoe while on the trails. I usually run in Ghost series on the road, so this felt natural. The grip on the shoe gives me great traction, sometimes almost too much as I have unfortunately not gotten used to lifting my foot as much as needed for trails. I would highly recommend for light trails. I haven't taken on a more technical "mountain hike/run" yet but I think it would hold up well. They aren't waterproof, so I wouldn't go running through the creek, but they seemed to do well on wet leaves.

Good looking shoe with nice traction.

Designed with intention
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In short, these are great shoes for their intended purpose (trail running). The amount of cushioning and responsiveness are perfect. The fit and feel are just like my Ghosts and Ghost Max. I’ll continue using them for trail runs and day hikes. I’ll also take them on vacations/trips with mixed surfaces when I only want to bring one pair of shoes. They are very versatile as walking and everyday shoes. For running, I’d recommend them when the run is at least 80% trail/dirt/DG/grass due to the added weight that comes with increased traction and more durable materials.

Smooth
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good traction on gravel, open rock face and pavement. I like the evenness of the tread not luggy. A little firm for me but not uncushy. Bought a wide and it definitely is. Definitely an upgrade over the Hoka ATR 7’s I just had.

Needs work
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
I have been wearing Ghost for years and was excited to try the new Trail version. Unfortunately it is not nearly as good as the Road Ghost. The toe is too pointed and easily catches on rocks and roots. Also makes the shoe feel a half size bigger. The break is diagonal not straight across and this makes your foot roll outward. The heel tab is not sufficient it feels like the shoe is going to fall off. The sole is stiff as expected but it really causes leg fatigue.

It's a Ghost. Why no extra wide Option?
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was ecstatic when I first saw Brooks was releasing a Ghost Trail!!! With both the Ghost and Ghost Max having an extra wide(4E) option, finally there will be a trail shoe for us extra wide footers. NOPE...only to be disappointed, again, that the widest trail shoe Brooks continues to make is wide(2E). Why Brooks, does the Ghost Trail not follow the width options of other Ghost models? Extra wide(4E) should be an option. I see it asked for all over social media yet shoemakers, other than Asics Gel-Venture(which is more of a trail walking shoe imo), ignore us extra wide footers. Make it make sense why the Ghost and Ghost Max offer 4E but the Trail does not?
