Great shoes for my hip flexor tendinitis!
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve only ran a few miles in these but I did try them on in the store and was torn between these and the adrenalines. I needed something with stability but a cushion that wasn’t too soft. The glycerins have a very soft cushion, these are also soft but in a more firm way which is what I needed to help my hip flexor tendinitis heal. I got a size 8 wide (I technically don’t have a wide foot but I always get wide as it works for me). So far so good ! I would love to see brooks make this lighter in weight ! The only negative I’ve noticed the tongue is a bit annoying as it’s kind of thick and stiff so my left foot notices the edge of the tongue poking when I put them on. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal and goes away as I start to run. So far I like them!

Steady Trainer
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically run in a Ghost 15 (they are my favorite things to run in). They’re becoming harder and harder to find. I thought I would this model. They are extremely comfortable. The cushioning is a little thicker than I like but they’re very easy to run in. I also love that there’s some fun color ways for wider widths. Plenty of space in the toolbox for a wide width, comfortable and secure at the ankle.

Blisters from cut away tongue shape :-(
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
I wanted so much to like these shoes but over the last few months I've had to stop using them off and on because the weird shaped tongue cuts into my ankle, even if I put a band-aid under my sock. I don't get the problem walking, only when running. Not ideal. The ride is a bit too cushioned for me too. I'd highly recommend that Brooks takes a look at the design because a friend of mine independently encountered exactly the same problem with this shoe.

I like the looks, the larger toe box and over all comfort! I walk on cement floors 10 hours a day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Brooks, this one is a bit different, the heel cup seems a bit shallow. It's smaller then my other Brooks, if I put an insole inside my heel slides on the back and would cause a blister.

Sadly disappointed in the new model
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
I’ve been wearing Brooks since the Ghost 13, but unfortunately this version isn’t working well for me. I liked the color options & sizing was accurate. However, the extra cushioning added around the ankle for stability feels excessive and actually causes discomfort because of how much it presses against my ankle. The increased internal height also makes my foot feel like I’m standing on top of the shoe rather than sitting securely inside it. In addition, the toe box feels narrower compared to previous versions. Lastly, I appreciated that earlier models didn’t have reflective detailing along the outer sole, which made them easier to wear casually as well as for workouts. If these design changes are adjusted in future releases, I would absolutely be interested in returning to Brooks again.

Ghost 17 too narrow
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
I have been wearing regular Ghosts since I started running 6 years ago and get a new pair every 6 mos. Sadly I had to give them up as the 17s are too narrow/tight across the toe box. I used the 17s for the last 6 months with tightness at the beginning of most runs. I tried on a new pair for a replacement and there is no way. Very uncomfortable. I do not wear a wide width in shoes either. Sad to say goodbye, I really loved the Ghosts. Hopefully Brooks will bring back the 16 design.

I love them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They are just the right amount of support. I am a healthcare worker on my feet all day and these shoes allow me to get through the day without pain or discomfort. Plus, the color pattern is perfect! Just enough color!

Disappointing redesign
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been wearing the Ghost for years, it’s been a great shoe for me, until this one, which is too narrow, the heel bed also seems less deep, it was overall uncomfortable and I had to return it. I ordered a pair of Ghost 16’s elsewhere, I’m hoping Brooks does better. I can no longer wear the Launch either.

Too tight
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Brooks! For years. This pair was so dang tight? I ordered the same size all my other pairs with Brooks have been. Thought maybe they just needed to be broken in but here I am weeks later and they’re still brutally tight. Cant return them bc I’ve worn them so I’m kinda stuck now. So a heads up to order a half size up from your usual!!

Disappointed
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered a 9 wide which is my typical Brooks size. I am a devoted adrenaline wearer but my podiatrist recommended I try the ghosts. I can not even tie them. They are suitable for my needs. Very disappointed.

Disappointed in redesign
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
For a little background, I’ve been wearing the Ghost for 15+ years and I’ve easily had 25 pairs or more. Unfortunately this redesign is a no-go for me. The previous design hugged around the heel giving a secure feeling. The new heel design makes the shoe feel loose causing too much heel movement in the shoe. Additionally, they sit higher on the medial side of my ankle causing them to rub my ankle around where the top lace loop is located. I have also started having pain in my arch which has never been an issue. I’m assuming this might be because my foot is moving in the shoe too much.

Supportive and comfortable
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the Brooks Ghost 17 as an everyday shoe, but they’ve quickly become my go-to for everything. I wore them to the gym for lifting and functional training, and I loved how stable and supportive they felt without being bulky. I also took them out for a run and they felt amazing — cushioned but still responsive and springy. It’s been a while since I’ve had a shoe that gives me that perfect balance of comfort and energy return. Definitely one of my favorite pairs in a long time.

Not enough stability
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
I had to return these, just putting them on to walk around the apartment I didn’t feel the stability I needed or get with the adrenaline style. The are cushy but no support I kept thinking I was going to fall off the shoe. I don’t feel like that with the adrenaline. If you need more balanced and supportive this is not the model for you.
