Ghost 17 Running Trainers

I not like these at all! The front foot bed was super narrow and uncomfortable. The back tab/lip pinched and rubbed every time I took a step. Being 5’1” that tab covered the back of my achilles, up the back of my ankle and poke at lower calf. New does not mean improving or better! On a sadder note the 18 version is the exact same shoe. Time to look elsewhere.

These are not a good shoe. I slipped it on and it hurt my feet immediately. I have purchased Brooks Ghost narrow for many years and these were a terrible design. I don’t understand the need for your company to change a design that works well. I’ll have to find a new brand if this is this way you’re going with the shoes. Returned the immediately.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Did a couple walks in these to break them in before my first 5K race… kinda nervous they were going to hurt me, but I was pleasantly surprised that was not the case! Best shoes EVER. I was not fatigued as I usually am after a run. No shin splints in sight. Can’t wait to race again! I typically wear an 8, but for Brooks I ordered 8.5 and they fit perfectly!

This time the aglets on my laces are white instead of black like the lace itself. Now I have to pay for new laces. I don't care for the two different colors. Haven't worn them yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m using these for walking and I feel like I’m walking on air. Very good fit. Highly recommend.

My first pair of Ghost is 14. Then 15. I don't like the 16 so I wait for now to get the 17. To be honest, I feel that each model is a bit different. 17 has a smaller toe box so it's not as comfortable as of 15. However, it has more foam underfoot thus provides better shock absorption. Since I have a little bunion I always purchased the wide size. My daughter has bigger bunion and the "wide" still no good thus we need to returned her pair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a big fan of Brooks, and especially the Ghost specifically. I bought the 17, and this is probably at least my 10th pair of Ghosts. I’m not a fan at all of this one. It feels like poor quality, and the edge of the shoe runs my ankle raw. My husband has the Ghost 17 as well, has worn Ghosts for many years, and he says the same. I’m definitely returning and getting another pair of Ghost Max’s!

While the shoes felt good at first, I find the toe box narrow and the laces bring the shoe side over my ankle, which is uncomfortable. I will be returning them. The Brooks 15 were the best shoes for me. Now I will have to find something else to wear.

I am sad to say that over the years I have noticed that the quality of their sneakers have went down. These sneakers are not as comfortable as the old Ghosts I have. The foot bed suppport is not there. The sneakers are puckering. At the front of the shoe on the inside already. I am disappointed. Maybe that is why they are selling them for a discounted price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the best shoes I have ever worn. I have had a badly injured foot for over a year and these have been the only shoes I could wear. Just had my foot surgery and I plan on using these the first time I can wear a shoe again.
