Ghost 17 Running Trainers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Speedy. Feels like I’m a ghost. Great neutral, responsive, and durable for high milage. These are currently my indoor treadmill shoes for the winter, before they become my outdoor spring running shoes. I’ve been running in Ghosts since the 10’s(?) and see no reason to change with the current version.

These don’t compare to the originals. There is no support around your ankle anymore. Super low for some reason. I will have to return them and find another brand totally. I’ve tried all the new styles and they just aren’t it. Not for people who have issues with support or just in general.

My stepson also purchased a pair as did his friend. They are all runners and find the shoes excellent and excellent quality. Definitely worth the investment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had and love every model of Ghosts since the 11. The change in the heal of the 17 is too much for me. They felt horrible. I only ran a 5k in them, but I couldn't do it. I ended up going with the Glycerin 23, which I love! I just don't understand why such a drastic change was made to a long time shoe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a brooks ghost runner for years now through many iterations. 17 fits different. More foam and more bounce. Fit issues with more shallow heel- my specific heel sliding around the shoe with normal use despite using the heel ties. Not a fan! I don't feel secure during my runs unless I have the extra heel knots tied very tight. Additionally, all this extra foam, the foam soles have worn .5" already along the back edges.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Due to both knees bad (7 surgeries).. the Ghost model gives the most support of any athletic shoe I've worn. This opinion goes back to the Ghost 13.

Had Ghost Max previously.... they are tighter than typical running shoes had rubbing on small toes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not a runner anymore, but these Brooks Ghost 17 are perfect for my morning walks. They are so comfortable, sometimes I do a little trot when I'm feeling light.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I struggled for a long time with my old shoes. They were uncomfortable, offered little support, and made my plantar fascia pain worse, especially after long days on my feet. Since switching to these new shoes, the difference has been huge. They feel supportive and cushioned in all the right places, and my feet feel noticeably better by the end of the day. I have had far less heel and arch pain, and walking feels comfortable again. If you deal with plantar fascia issues and need better support, these shoes are definitely worth it.
