Love them!

Good for Achilles Tendonitis
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these to help with Achilles Tendonitis due to the 10mm heel toe drop. I have been wearing them for a few weeks and my heel feels much better.

Not my favorite.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t love the GTX Ghost. It feels much stiffer and has less cushioning. The shoe did keep my feet dry during a heavy rain in the theme parks. I definitely would not wear these unless keeping my feet dry was a necessity. They just don’t provide a plush cushioned ride. In warm climates your feet will be very hot.

17 GTX is painful
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I expect Ghost gtx to run a little short until I break them in. I couldn’t tolerate the 17 GTX at all. I tried walking outside and on my treadmill. The insoles are really hard and my right big toe and foot are sore from being squeezed really tight because of the thick insole and hard material. I’m going to try the regular 17 and hope it’s comfortable like the 16. The previous versions of Ghost were much better fitting shoes than the 17 GTX. I gave two stars only because it looks like Ghost with quality materials and my hips and knees don’t ache.

please keep making these

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear these shoes to the park on dewy mornings with my dog, and my feet stay perfectly dry. All other shoes fill with water immediately - but not these ones. Love them. Not sure about the white colorway for a water resistant shoe? Mine are definitely getting very muddy & grassy at times. Loved my last pair of blue ones. The black ones look like old people shoes, LOL, but other than that, they are perfect. After several months of daily wear in the rainy Pacific NW, I do re-spray them with some 3M water shield, which helps as they get more used.

Dry feet are a 10/10

Love these Brooks for Rain and Winter
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love these shoes. I ordered a pair for both my husband and me four days before a 2 week trip to rainy Europe this month, hoping they would come in time. With Brooks' speedy shipping, they did! We walked all over a wet Germany and Amsterdam in them, and they did not disappoint. We love our Glycerins, but these were just as good. Based on other reviews, we sized up by a half size. They were perfect. We will be wearing them a lot this winter.

Not comfortable at all :(
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are so hard. The heel part is too stiff and narrow. I usually wear 7.0 medium. But this is the first time i got a 7.0 medium where my big toe is touching the front top and tip of the shoe. I can’t even wiggle my toes. I had high hopes :(

Do not waste your money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You are better off strapping concrete bricks to your feet. These shoes are hard, painful, and unsupportive. I could only wear them for one day before immediately returning them. All the good reviews are paid and I felt completely let down after I had fallen in love with the Brooks brand previously.

Bring back the old ghost

They must have changed this new ghost and now the heel area is super hard and painful. I’m really bummed since these have always been my go to shoes.

Love These, They Do Run Slightly Small Though
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy new shoes from all brands. I was excited to try these Brooks Ghost 17 GTX running shoes. I must say I love the colors, style, soles, inserts and materials. I have work for both work and running as I’m trying to stay in shape. I will say that these do run slightly slow which makes my toes hurt. Everything else is so comfortable. I would love these so much more had I gotten a half size up.

Rain or Shine- still a great shoe!
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit of the Ghost 17 GTX is incredibly comfortable right out of the box. It has a snug, secure fit, with just the right amount of room in the toe box. The cushioning is so comfy without feeling overly soft. This shoe feels like it is pushing me forward with each step, which is nice. It feels stable and supportive, giving me the motivation to get moving. I feel like the design of the Brooks Ghost has a nice balance between athletic and stylish. I can definitely wear these shoes out for a walk or run as well as with a pair of jeans to go shopping. I like the clean white color of this shoe because it is not too flashy but still stylish. The Gore-Tex (GTX) is a super comfortable and flexible waterproof feature. It is breathable but still has great waterproof protection, making it ideal for those rainy days or puddles. The material feels durable but not stiff, so it is still amazingly comfortable. I love that my feet can stay dry and warm without overheating. The weatherproofing along with the comfort makes this shoe a great choice for unpredictable conditions. The cushioning is very comfortable and I love the way the shoe seems to propel me forward while I walk or run. It almost feels like cheating! I wouldn’t change anything about the Ghost 17 GTX!

From the Zoo to the Greenway, These Shoes Deliver!
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the Brooks Ghost 17 GTX in the white and light blue color, which just happen to be my favorite colors. I couldn’t be happier with the look and performance. Fit & Feel: The fit is spot on, snug in all the right places without feeling tight. The cushioning is exactly what you’d expect from Brooks: soft, responsive, and supportive. Whether I’m spending hours walking around a sweltering zoo or going for a run on the Greenway, my feet stay comfortable the entire time. No rubbing, no blisters, no hot spots — just all-day comfort. Design: The design is clean, stylish, and versatile. The white and light blue combo gives them a fresh, modern look that easily transitions from workout wear to casual outings. I’ve already had a few people ask where I got them! Fabric: The GTX material is breathable and lightweight, yet durable and water-resistant perfect for unpredictable summer weather or early morning runs when the ground is still wet. My feet stay dry without overheating, even on the hottest days. What I liked most / What I’d change: What I love most is the balance of comfort and performance, it’s rare to find a shoe that feels this good on both long walks and short runs. If I had to change one thing, I’d maybe add a little more arch support for those with higher arches, but that’s more of a personal preference.

Lightweight cushion + incredible rebound = my new go-to
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] "I'm like a human pogo stick! Look at this spring!" Literally my first words to my husband, 20 strides into the first run in my Ghost 17 GTXs. Over the last 5 weeks, these shoes have climbed over 15,000 vertical feet, covered nearly 100 miles, and kept me steady packing a toddler to Angels Landing and through the Narrows at Zion. I had zero issues breaking them in, and am still blown away by the cushion and rebound, especially given how light they are. I'm particular when it comes to aesthetics, and frequently sacrifice comfort for style. Love that these deliver both on fashion and function, and am honestly surprised at how well this light colorway held up through miles of water, dust, dirt, and mud. I wear a size 7 in most brands, but ordered a 7.5 on the advice of a friend and feel like it's been perfect. I feel like these breathe well even with the waterproof GORE-TEX upper, but did notice the heat start to build when we were in 100-degree+ conditions. If you live in an especially hot climate, I might stick with a mesh upper, but think these will be perfect for our fall, winter, and spring. I appreciated the stability and traction, especially as I recovered from a torn ligament in my right ankle. Overall impressed! Any chance you'll be releasing more colorways, Brooks? Please and thank you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the shoe so much and they make me able to run better while wearing them. The ghost 17 GTX felt a little weird the first time I wore them because I wasn’t used to the thick sole but I was happy to see they make me bounce and run faster. I have friends on my cross country team that I let borrow for warm ups and they loved them so much they made the switch too. This will be a favorite of mine.

Light and Comfy
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ghost 17 shoe has been a very comfortable shoe for me as I go on my walks. My go-to shoes before these are a lot heavier, and so I especially appreciate how light these are in comparison and would say that is my favorite aspect of this shoe. This shoe fits true to size in my opinion, and the material feels quality. I have a white pair of these and am not worried about stains because the material seems to have some sort of stain resistant feel to it. I also like the solid heal on it. I think that is important for those that over and under pronate. I can’t really think of anything that I would change in these shoes right now. So far they have been a wonderful pair of shoes for daily walks and I’m looking forward to putting more miles on them!
