Epaulettes Military Coat

Chose black as I thought it looked more expensive than the red. This coat looks and feels good, and is excellent value in my opinion. A perfect length as well. Would have liked some buttons on the sleeves (probably add a few myself) for impact.

I was very disappointed. The front of the coat was 'skimpy' and didn't 'wrap over' sufficiently. It looked good on the model but it did me no favours at all. I have returned it. Sorry M&S.

Ordered this coat in red along with the black Autograph boucle black coat as I couldn't decide which one to buy!!, kept this one - far more flattering, more room in arms to wear thicker jumper underneath, would be happy to have paid more for better quality fabric.

This is a coat that I have purchased so that my husband can give it to me for Christmas. The fit is good and so is the length and the coat feels very soft to the touch. Obviously haven't worn it yet, but does feel nice when it is on.

A smart coat with some interest - the buttons and epaulettes. Decent pockets, well made, a nice fit (slightly on the big side). The price is fair, but there is no wool in the material.

This a lovely coat, not too heavy, but a little on the short size if you are over 5ft. Luckily it is the correct length for me provided I wear a shorter skirt. The colour is a vivid red and brightens up the greyest winter day. Would love it in more colours though as I do not do black as I am not going to a funeral

I bought this coat in red and was not disappointed .... it is a lovely style, great bright colour, fits perfectly and is true to a size 12. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a clasic coat, perfect to last, and to add a splash of colour to your winter wardrobe. Even better I bought it in the 20% discount day, although even at full price it is worth the price, and I would have spent the money on it. I just need to save for the black one now ......................

I bought size 12 instead of 10 to give a little 'winter jumper' room. It's smart and stylish and good value, especially as I bought it online on a 20% off promotion!

exellent coat well fitted true size

I liked the look of this coat on the peg but it just didn't work on me. I'm 5'3'' and the length was rather odd on me as it was just below my knees, so neither long nor short. It looked plain wrong with trousers. Also the bottom of the coat seemed to flair out rather strangely. I usually wear a size 16, but this seemed rather large (although I have lost a little weight recently so it could be me rather than the coat). I also think it is quite pricey for a coat with no wool content at all.

I've been looking for an elegant military coat, and this one definitely stands out from the current sea of double-breasted mid-thigh length ones. It's very soft, and feels warm (although the true test of that will come in a couple of months!). It's a good length - knee-length on me (I'm 5'4") - long enough to keep you warm when worn with a skirt, but not long enough to swamp you. I find that M&S clothes' sizes tend to run slightly large, but for a coat that's fine, as my usual size fits with room for a jumper. The sleeves are a good fit, too, not too wide or narrow - you can wear a jumper under them and not feel like the Michelin Man! Overall, a thorough recommendation.

Fantastic coat for the money. My friend thought I had paid £150 for it. The size is spot on. I am a 12 and usually find M&S a little on the big size. Not with this coat however. Looks great on.
