Great performing shoe, bad outsole durability

Been absent from running for 10 years. Started up again in February this year and bought these late April for my Saturday track intervals(Achilles issues) is keeping me from using spikes at the moment. They are great for 800 and even 400 repeats but for my weekday threshold mile repeats after work I run on a gravel loop around a reservoir to squeeze in a session. Have only worn them twice on gravel for these and the rubber on the outsole has started to peel to where it is just flapping. It was just wearing down from running on the track after alternating the 400s or 800s once weekly since. Would love to buy a second pair but hoping the next version will have better durability. Fit is awesome, something about the toe box is kind of awkward but once the running starts I don't think about it much

I have come to rely on the Endorphin Speed as a regular part of my running shoe rotation. This version of Endorphin Speed is a great daily training shoe, compared to the Pro version that I enjoy on race days. Being able to buy a pair at sale price is an added bonus!

Best all around running shoe!

Firm cushioning and moderate bounce compared to competing other brands which I like. If you love plush cushion or super bouncy these aren't for you. I use them anywhere from speed runs to my marathon shoe. Primarily run anywhere from 6:30 to 8:00 miles and I'm a midfoot striker. My one gripe might be that the PR PB foam has a pebbly/styrofoam look to it which is prone to abrasion damage. Wearing these as everyday shoes or taking them off by stepping on the heal can lead to chunks of foam separating off which probably doesn't affect performance but looks ugly. Sole rubber durability lasted me around 500 miles and honestly they still feel decent, but I noticed a little flatness in the spring so I freshened up with a new pair for the next 500 miles. It's a running shoe not a gym shoe or wear around town shoe and the best running shoe I've ever owned.

Good Shoe

Have only put ~10miles on the shoes so far, but they have been solid. My first pair of distance running shoes in a long time so I appreciate the responsiveness. They make me want to run fast.

Honestly a very solid performing shoe, it’s light, surprisingly stable, and very responsive. Use it mainly for tempo runs but I could daily the shoe.

The shoes are incredible! For every type of run, they are doing great! Only one thing: I use to wear 9 with the speed 4 and unfortunatly for the speed 5, I should have ordered 9,5. They are a Little snuggier

Light and versatile. Lots of energy return. A great short and long distance shoe.

I bought this shoe hoping to use it for my faster runs. The shoe felt decent at first but foam already feels worn only a couple of runs in. Was expecting a little better quality for the price.

Sizing and fit have changed
Originally posted on Saucony
No, I don't recommend this
The Endorphin Speed 3 was great. The 4 was good, but the foam felt a little harder than the 3. With the 5 the sizing is off. It feels like my foot is slipping around in it while I'm running. The next size down was too small. The older versions fit like perfect glove without being too tight. It's a neutral shoe, but the arch support feels off too, and it doesn't encourage "speed." I would not wear it in a race (tried to, in a marathon). Still a decent daily trainer, but just used to feel better, IMO.

I tried really hard to like this running shoe but even after trying three different ways insoles and going on three runs I could not run in them without pain on the outside of my left foot. I went back to my other shoes and there was no pain. Unfortunately Saucony does not have a guarantee or do any type of refunds if they are used so it was a waste of money. I will not be buying or recommending Saucony products unless they change their policy.

My husband has never tried your shoes. I have been a big fan. I bought a few pairs because of the color patterns and he loves them

True to fit. They are pretty responsive, bouncy shoes. The foam reminds me of boost up close. Only have ran a couple miles so far but they’re great so far.

It is a decent shoe overall! That being said, for me, if I compare with speed 2, Saucony is going backwards in so many ways! With every new model from certain series (speed in this particular case), Saucony is pushing the newest technologies to the superior more expensive product (for instance, pro). That is a pattern from Speed 2 onwards. It is a shame, in my opinion, because when comparing, speed 3 was less comfortable than speed 2 and speed 4 is even less comfortable than speed 3. I am not happy with that at all, although the quality of the product is great as expected.

Best Running Shoes

The Endorphin series is the best running shoe I’ve had as an older adult. Great support, with a pillowy soft landing, though light weight. I’m in my 80s, but still do a routine run on a track surface only. This is my second pair, and I will continue to buy them in the future. I hope the series remains consistent over the years to come; they’re great!

Good shoe but sad durability and warranty
Originally posted on Saucony
I bought this shoe in December of 2025, and have put 110 miles on them up to this review in May 2026. I really enjoy how light and firm this shoe is. It also has enough stack to keep me comfortable on my longer or slower runs. Sadly, the shoe is starting to come apart a bit. It’s a small thing, but it’s right up against my pinky toe which is really annoying. It seems like a design flaw alongside failing glue. I looked into doing a warranty claim but the process is ridiculous. Requiring proof of purchase, making the customer pay for shipping, and keeping the shoes for months just to make a decision about whether they will replace or not. I’ll fix these shoes, but I don’t know if I’ll buy Saucony again for fear of a warranty issue
