Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly 125ml

I wear very little make-up and no foundation, so this moisturiser is left to do the heavy lifting for most of my face - while I am neither very oily nor dry, I have struggled to find a moisturiser that I like and that works with my skin. While it can initially feel a little sticky when applied, it settles in if you leave it alone for a couple of seconds. I often struggle with the weight and scent of skincare products, but this feels light on my face and doesn't agitate me at all. Whereas other products in the dramatically different range were not suitable for my skin and did feel a little heavy (understandably so as they are targeted towards different skin types). So I would 100% recommend this product.

This is lovely stuff, I have used it since it was first bought out, blends into my skin with no residue. I use it at night.

I've always loved Clinique moisturisers, and so when this was recommended to me by a Clinique consultant for the first time, I was really excited to try something new. It felt absolutely amazing when I tried a small amount on my hand in store, but when I got home and started using it properly, I found my skin was left really sticky. I had a few areas of breakouts within the first week, but I put that down to being a new product and hoped it would calm down a bit in due course, but unfortunately it didn't. I've tried it a number of times since then in the hope that my skin was just being fussy (it can be very sensitive sometimes), but I'm still left with a sticky, spotty face afterwards, and in terms of feeling moisturised, it's not really doing much, especially in the more drier areas. As I normally have such confidence in Clinique products, I threw away my reciept so wasn't able to return it to the store for a refund :( I'd really recommend asking for a sample or a smaller bottle if you're new to using this product as judging by the reviews it can be a little hit and miss.

Whilst I know this product is targeted as a moisturiser I find it best used as a hydrating serum after cleansing and using a splash of the Moisture Surge Hydrating Lotion and before other serums. It's full of really nice hydrating ingredients but do feel it needs to be sealed in with a moisturiser with a little more oomph - but that's totally down to how my skin is and I can imagine this would be lovely as a stand-alone moisturiser for a more oilier skin type! Well done Clinique!

I have skin not very dry but on the dry side and this product is nice to put on and absorbs quick but doesnt seem to do anything to moisturise

I never considered myself a 'more than one moisturiser' kind of guy. But this arrived free with another purchase. I have been using it on and off since October. It's brilliant! I usually use the Anti Age Moisturiser for men, and then this when I want something that will absorb quickly so I can get in bed or carry on with my day (I tend to use this in an evening after washing and exfoliating). Not that the other moisturiser is bad! It's just quite thick. This is a very light moisturiser, it absorbs very quickly and leaves my face feeling fresh. And people always ask what I use on my face (though I'm not yet able to admit I'm the sort of chap that has two moisturisers on the go)! I've also used it after shaving and felt no irritation and the following day my skin was clear, no red bumps. A must have gentlemen (and ladies)!

I love this hydrating jelly however I won't be buying the larger size in the pump dispenser again. IT's simply not possible to control the volume or direction from the pump. I'll be buying the tube from now on - unless I hear that the pump bottle nozzle dispensing system has been redesigned.

I usually like quite a thick moisturizer but started using this one when on holiday a couple of years ago (as a sample). Loved how it sucked straight into my skin and I could apply my make up really easily over the top. I am now using it as my normal daycream as it's great. Does as above, but also seems to tighten my skin a little - in a good way as I'm 38 and trying to fight the 'first wrinkles' battle!! Would love it to have SPF in somehow though, then it would be 100% a 5* product.

I love this product. Absorbs into the skin quickly and doesn't make my skin oily or greasy.

My face tends to get quite oily and so I stuggle with some moisturisers as they tend to make it worse. This is so lightweight and offers the perfect level of moisture without feeling like it's clogging up my skin. It does have a sticky texture but personally i quite like it - I find that because of this it does act as a great base for make-up, as others have said. Similarly, in the winter I find I do need that extra level of moisture (the yellow bottle clinique sells is great for this) but for everyday use throughout the year this one is my favourite. I use morning and night all over my face and neck, and it doesn't irritate at all.

Wow! Received a sample of this as part of a purchase. Plumps out my skin and gives a healthy glow, perfect under Cityblock (where DDM would be too heavy). I love it! Will definitely purchase when the sample runs out.

I'm a loyal client of Clinique and I'm really disappointed - this product is really distasteful. Makes my skin sticky and the smell is horrible. Should not even be on the market.

I tried this as part of Clinique iD and have been using it over the past week. Clinique's skin recommendation tool recommended it to me repeatedly. For some background, I haven't used Clinique skincare products since I was a teenager. (I have sporadically used the make-up.) I was really intrigued to try this, particularly because of the lightweight feeling promised and the anti-pollution effects. I am in my early 30s, with combination skin. I get some hormonal breakouts from time to time. I get dry patches around my eyes if I'm not moisturising properly. Unfortunately, this hasn't had the effect I'd hoped for. It goes on very easily, but once applied, it just seems to sit on my skin as a kind of tacky, sticky residue. I really don't like products that feel this way - it seems to tighten my skin and I have to apply another moisturiser for my skin to feel soft and hydrated again Now, in the interest of fairness, I've used this for a week as directed. I have tried using a smaller amount, and a larger amount, but there isn't a difference in the way it feels. I have given it hours to sink in without applying any other products to my face. I don't think I can realistically keep using this product with any benefit to my skin, so I am going to return it. It seems from the reviews, that people either seem to love this or hate it. I would say that before you spend your money on a large version of this, try to get a sample from your Clinique counter, or opt for a smaller bottle. Make sure it works for your skin before paying a lot for it - you might love it! But you might be like me and find it leaves your face feeling sticky! It did not seem to break me out or cause skin irritation, so it's not thoroughly negative, but it's not benefiting me either. I'm now going to try my old teenage favourite Dramatically Different gel moisturiser and see if that works for me.
