Comfy but spoilt by label
No, I don't recommend this
My second batch of six pairs because I like the lightweight fit. However, M&S production managers should know by now how to attach a label that doesn’t aggravate the skin. The Gandy label side creases are infuriatingly scratchy on backbone. I can see why it can’t be sewn below the elastic waistband because the fabric is so thin and they’d like to conceal the join. Will have to spend time unpicking the labels.

Get the right size!
Yes, I recommend this
Because David Gandy is more taut than a snare drum and I’m not! So you need to get the right size pants. Large doesn’t have a lot of give in them, so I would buy the next size up when purchasing these. When i did buy the XL in any of this range they’re perfecr for work when your wearing a suit.

Stylish and comfortable

I purchased as replacement for earlier purchase which had issues with the seams coming apart where fabric joined. Given comments on review pages, hopefully this latest purchase will be more durable.

DAVID GANDY FOR AUTOGRAPH
Yes, I recommend this
The 2 Pack 4 Way Stretch Supima® Cotton Hipsters really are a luxurious range of men's underwear, of exceptional quality and very stylish. Last Christmas I selected 3 sets of sleepwear of the David Gandy for Autograph range - burgundy, grey and black - for my Brother-in-law in Germany. According to my Sister, her Husband is absolutely delighted with his presents and not only looks good wearing the clothes, but also enjoys a comfortable sleep. Each individual item has retained its original shape, softness and colour when being laundered. This is the reason for having placed an Online Order for 4 boxes of Supima® Cotton Hipsters (at the request of my Sister) for a Birthday that is soon coming up!

Very Poorly Designed
No, I don't recommend this
The David Gandy tag on the back of the waistband of these hipsters is very annoying and scratches constantly. Moreover, it cannot be easily cut off or removed! Also hitches up at the thighs. Simply Awful hipsters! Very disappointed

Wake up M& S
No, I don't recommend this
This ought to be a complimentary review but it isn't. Ever since these hipsters were introduced customers have complained about the label on the inside of the waist band which sits proud and digs into your back. To wear these hipsters in comfort you need to unpick and remove the labels. This was a simple matter for the manufacturer to correct. It is perhaps typical of the complacent approach of M&S that this has not been done. That said, if you take 10 minutes to unpick and remove the label the hipsters are very comfortable to wear

Very Happy Husband.
Yes, I recommend this
Bought these hipsters for my husband who says they are great. So comfortable he hardly knows he's wearing them apparently! Bought another pack so my teenage son could try them and he loves them too.

Excellent - but
Yes, I recommend this
Soft, well made, comfy with rather a premium price. BUT WHY have you not addressed those scratchy waistband labels mentioned so many times already. With such beautifully fine stitching it's not easy to un-pick & not damage the waistband. Please have a re-think

David Gandy white hipsters - VERY disappointed!
No, I don't recommend this
I’ve bought these for years, always high quality and an excellent fit, albeit rather expensive at £10.00 per pair. I recently bought 6 pairs online, you can’t buy them Instore any more for some reason. When they arrived, I unpacked them and put them in the underwear drawer for later use, these were to replace old worn out ones. A few days after purchase I put a pair on, I was horrified, they were the same quality cloth but the style, shape and size had gone. These new ones are oversized, loose and look like a pair of old fashioned “grandad” underpants. I compared them to an older pair and they are considerably oversized for some reason. Too late to return them I have thrown all the packaging away but I’ll never buy them again. VERY disappointed

Great apart from the annoying label
Yes, I recommend this
These are very comfortable and look great. My only criticism is the label at the back sewn onto the waistband which scratches annoyingly and is a pain to completely remove.

Additional underwear purchase
Yes, I recommend this
I suggested these trunks to my Husband last year as 'vests' in wintertime with briefs look so wrong. Success, as we have added another two piece pack to last years purchases. Not sure why they aren't available in "Aertex" material to match the M&S vests. The material is thicker and not so prone to creasing.

Not the best
No, I don't recommend this
Bought for husband & he reckons they are a bit neat fit. At the same time I purchased 2 other styles including 5 pack cotton Rich Hipster which were the best value for money and by his reckoning the most comfortable.

The Gandy Scratch
No, I don't recommend this
The hipsters themselves are a good cut and fit. However, the waistband is quite thick and has limited stretch. The unfortunate feature though is that the David Gandy label is attached firmly in a way that makes the hipsters itchy/scratchy and uncomfortable. This failing has been pointed out in a number of otherwise favourable reviews.

Rubbish

Why so small? I measured and they said 38 to 42 but they were 32! Also a stupid label that scratched my bum I sent them back

Great hipsters
Yes, I recommend this
Very supportive, comfortable and look good (although I'm not as toned as David Gandy)! Being hipsters thay are slightly briefer than regular boxers so I find them more comfortable and you can wear them in the gym. Bought these in white as I like my black pairs so much. Perhaps a bit pricey at £20, but I got mine at 20% off which is better! Recommended.
