HOW TO DO
PREGNANCY IN STYLE
Meghan and Harry’s happy news has got us thinking – what do you really need when you’re expecting?
When it comes to offering baby advice, the mums on the Style & Living team are happy to pass on the benefits of their experience to Meghan, and every other woman waiting for the arrival of a new baby. Tip one is to embrace maternity bras early on. “They’re not just for breastfeeding women,” says Alice, deputy editor. “Your body changes a lot while you’re pregnant, so being fitted for a soft and comfortable maternity bra can be life-changing.” Sam, acting beauty editor, adds, “Take a long bubble bath, and indulge yourself in beauty treatments and a good night’s sleep – before having the time is a distant memory!” Claire, kidswear editor, agrees: “Light a candle and snuggle up in a blanket because life is definitely about to change (in a good way).” Finally, for a quick fix to keep you going, Rachel, editor-in-chief, says you can’t beat a ginger biscuit. “They kept my nausea at bay for the first three months, and were a great energy boost for the next six. And for a few years after that!”
