Delicious and a great lockdown distraction

The Burns Night hamper, consumed ‘under lockdown’ was a great treat for two. The whiskey was smooth, the haggis (cooked using the oven option) was delicious, succulent and seasoned to perfection, and the whiskey sauce a perfect accompaniment. We appreciated the ‘neeps & tatties’ (neaps a combination of carrot and swede) PS the last biscuit in the tin was consumed 8 days after the hamper arrived and was delicious down to the last crumb.

Great quality haggis potatoes and swede. Really enjoyed the single malt whiskey too a nice touch. Made my own cranachan. The shortbread was delicious and could have been a smaller box.

We bought one of these for ourselves, and had two delivered to friends for a Zoom Burns Night Get Together. The haggis came with clear instructions and was very tasty, the whisky sauce went well with it. The mashed potato and carrot/swede was the usual M&S quality. The bottle of whisky was larger than expected and the shortbread was great with a coffee and the whisky afterwards. It was the best value Burns Night hamper I could find online. The only thing I would have added was perhaps a cranachan inspired pud to be included.

Excellent meal, the haggis was perfect, loved the carrot and swede mash. Only thing I think could have been improved was the whiskey sauce, needed to be slightly creamier and definitely more of it, in Scotland I always ask for more as this is the best bit of the meal. My husband is drinking the whiskey and we have saved the biscuits but I know I like M&S shortbread!

I love celebrating special dates throughout the year and thought this was a great idea for Robert Burns night. The choice of food, whisky and biscuits was a great mix. The food was delicious and easy to cook. Whisky very nice. All in all a great and fun night.

Lovely McSween haggis no less! Delicious whisky sauce, beeps and tattled and a lovely single malt whisky . A massive tin of Scottish shortbread. The whole thing was absolutely delicious! Great value as well! Try putting that together yourself for £40!

My only criticism and it is minor is there should have been diced ‘neeps’ and tatties. The mashed potatoes and the carrot and swede mash were fine but not traditional.

It is many years since we had a haggis meal but we decided to treat ourselves and were not disappointed. The haggis was good quality and tasted beautiful especially with the wonderful whisky sauce The mash was creamy and tasty as was the carrot and swede crush although a little sloppy (bought it before so knew what to expect). Very nice single malt whisky. The shortbread tin was slightly crushed and had no best by date on it which I found unusual so wasn't surprised to find them a little dry and not very buttery (Maybe they were Christmas stock came to mind)
