I normally wear size 14 trousers at M&S so I ordered the same in knickers. They are a bit too big but obviously I have to keep them. Should’ve ordered size 12.

These pants are not shorts but they are a good fit overall, feel comfy enough but I would prefer them without the frilly elastic edging on the legs which is too tight, and on the waistband which is as unnecessary as the bow. Why do women's pants have frills and bows I wonder? A plain and simple hemmed edge is all I need.

Midi knickers in disguise
I have been searching for my favourite midi knickers for ages - and here they are, being called high rise shorts. They do not resemble shorts, just usual knicker shape, but I am very pleased to have found them. They are comfortable and have washed well so far. Such a shame that the name change may have confused others into buying elsewhere.

Have been buying packs of these for years, primarily to wear for running. The last two packs I have bought ( both with the new name) have been poorer quality than previously. The elastic ‘lace’ round the waist and legs is now very flimsy and comes away from the main fabric. Still pretty cheap, though, and serve their purpose.
