Flexifit high rise shorts

I am 77, fatter stomach, flatter bum, size 14. These are the only pants style, fabric that work for me - low leg, comfortable navel height in front, not excessively high in back like most knickers are nowadays, silky clinging fabric. I still have some from when they first came out with more substantial fabric and many more fabric colour, pattern choices (though an ongoing fault of developing holes on front gusset seam). I also have many from the subsequent models made of thinner fabric. Sadly I'm now finding the more recent ones are either cut bigger or are stretching or losing shape, as they aren't nice and snug round my legs but hang and gape. Therefore I just bought some a size down, size 12, and these seem to fit right; but it does mean I will have to replace about two thirds of my existing now gaping pants. Also now the colours in the high rise shorts are so limited - couldn't we at least have the same choice as for your flexifit full briefs? Thanks, Lois, Bristol

These are my favourite pants from M&S. Smooth under most clothing and very comfortable. I also have the lower shorts but find they roll down, but these stay put. Wash well. Wish you had move colours.

Quality not as good as expecte from past purchases
The quality of the sewing of these briefs has really deteriorated. I have been buying them for a few years now and the most recent ones unravel at the gusset seams after only a few wash and wears. Very disappointing

Good to see that this style is now in a slightly lighter shade however brown still isn’t ‘nude’ on very pale skin and doesn’t look great, which could be a future consideration.

I purchased 'white' ones. But they are on the large size; so I will have to order some more a size down. Therefore though the size I purchased fit, but as they are very stretchy, hence I need a size smaller. But though the stretch makes them bit too big, they are comfy pants for wearing around the house.

I was looking for some comfortable AND breathable pants for hospital after an abdominal hysterectomy. I am so, so glad I went with these. I didn't realise what a god-send they would be. I needed them for about 6 weeks post-op - much longer than anticipated, and they were super protective and soft against my wounds. They are also surprisingly attractive (I got the purple ones) and I've ended up buying more and wearing them even now that I don't need them anymore. I bought the low rise ones too and these were probably a bit more useful because of the surgical wounds I had and coverage, but honestly, both have been great. I hope M&S continue to stock these, because I couldn't find anything else similar with such soft seams anywhere.
