About this style
These cool super-skinny school trousers are perfect for daily wear during term-time. They have added stretch for freedom of movement and an adjustable elasticated waist with a secure fastening. The durable fabric is treated with Stormwear™ to keep it dry during light rain showers. The hems of these schoolwear essentials extend by 3cm, so they can be worn longer. Supercrease technology means they stay crumple-free, too.
Sizes from two to six years have an elasticated waistband. Sizes from six to 10 years have an elastic back with a hook, bar and zip, while sizes from 10 years have a hook, bar and zip.

Fit is ok, but the quality is exceptionally poor. Very thin, and I’m sure m&s can produce a higher quality school trouser. They certainly will not be warm enough for the colder months

My son is slim and tall so buying school trousers is hard. I have bought these for the last 5 years and they look like normal sized trousers on him. I did mistakingly buy the "slim fit" last week but they were promptly returned and now peace in the house has been restored.

I bought these last year for my son to wear throughout his first year at school, he likes the skinny fit and they were really good quality (survived the play ground all year) so when I saw these were finally restocked I decided to order some more ready for September. The quality of these on arrival was not as good as it was last year, you can hold the trousers up to the light and see through them! The material feels more rough and isn’t as skinny as his last ones are. He’s yet to try them on, but I will probably return these and try and find some elsewhere - such a shame because I haven’t found any school trousers as slim fitting and have always used M&S for school clothing for my other child, but the quality seems to have taken a hit for some reason.
