Paper cord requires very little maintenance If you need to clean the paper cord, use a slightly damp cloth Do not excessively rub as this could remove the protective wax coating and damage the paper cord The wax coating helps prevent staining however any spills must be removed immediately by using kitchen towel or a slightly damp cloth Spilling dark liquids or foodstuffs can leave permanent staining Never use detergent on paper cord On receipt of chair the weave maybe slightly misaligned, but this will correct itself in use The paper may have batch to batch colour shading variation which may be present across individual items
