Potential with a glaring issue
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes had potential—seemingly decent breathability, adequate tread depth, balanced midsole firmness/cushion, toe box fabric that wasn’t overly roomy, etc. However, the cut of the ankle made these impossible for me to use. The material that curved down from the last eyelet directly hit my exterior ankle bones. (And of lesser concern, the heel tab was made of ridiculously cheap felt.)

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just not as comfortable as the Launch. Seems to have thinner sole up front and less cushion in back

Great shoe love the colors. You need more colors like this instead of doing the same ones over and over.

Trace 4 for me
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
The Brook Trace 4 are exactly what I need in a exercise shoe. Great fit, style and comfort. After the third day of wearing them my feet adjusted to the fit and I continued to step lively. Overall a great purchase for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, I am happy with my purchase after 2 weeks. I bought them because they have a harder rubber surface bottom than what I have bought in recent past purchases. Those wore the bottom surface smooth after a few weeks. I can tell already. These will last longer and feel good also.

Very comfortable, fit is good for someone with narrow feet. Cushioning is great as well. Love wearing these shoes for my road running.

Great shoe for the price

Great shoe. True to size. I use it as an everyday shoe and for the price it works well. I use the Launch for running on the road and Cascadia for trail.. The shoe is so far holding up pretty well. It's comfortable for me and gives my feet the support they need..

Overall the shoe feels good. Fit is a little different than I am used to with the ghost and adrenalin models that I have been using.

Big Improvement
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
I've walked in Ghost's since version 8, but I returned the 16. The tongue padding was thin and my low back pain and tendonitis flared up. Brooks recommended I try the Trace 4. I had tried a Trace 4 years ago but returned it for feeling too cheap. I think I'll be keeping this version. They felt stiff at first, but after a few days they feel fine. They're light and breath well. I like the back loop for pulling them on, but I don't know what the big tongue loop is for. They work well with my Tread Labs insoles.

Most comfortable

Great fit and extremely comfortable. I wear a lot of barefoot style shoes on a daily basis and when I run, these Trace styles are my favorite.

Well made, stylish running shoes
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
I can't fairly rate this shoe due to a medical condition, so I gave it 3 stars, right in the middle. It's a very nice looking, well made shoe. I had high hopes but it wasn't a good match for me. I am a female with Morton's Neuroma. As such, I need a wider toe box and therefore have been wearing men's running shoes which are wider than women's since my diagnosis. A woman's wide is too wide and a man's medium width has been perfect. I was asymptomatic from the neuroma, meaning it didn't bother me. Then I tried on these shoes and it returned. I really hoped I could make these my favorite pair but unfortunately had to return them and try something else. I realize all shoes are made differently, so I'm currently trying a pair of Ghost's...so far, so good. Please don't let my rating affect your opinion of these shoes.
