Great versatile walkers.

Great shoes. This is my fourth pair. Cannot more highly recommend them for trails or snowy sidewalks. I walk our dog 5 to 6 miles daily and without these shoes it would not be nearly as pleasant.

Comfortable but disappointing durability

Very comfortable shoe but the durability was disappointing. After just 6 weeks and about 100 miles they’re already pretty worn down.

These were great in the beginning but the repeated tying of the laces, caused the eyelets to break and therefore I could no longer tie my shoes which I found very disappointing because they are super comfy. I ended up having to by new shoes

Bought this shoe based on great experience buying Moab Merrells 3 or 4 times. I wanted - still do? - size 7 1/2, though only size 8 available (smallest size sold). They fit very well, though I wish that I didn’t have an extra 1/2” in length. But I’m overall very pleased. The fabric seemed a bit thin at first though it has not developed any problems at all. Overall they fit very well with the exception being too much toe room. Minor but notable. They are holding up very well so far. Laces are great and tread wear is good. Only had them for about a month though very pleased thus far.

Agility Peak 5 complete failure

One year review on Agility Peak 5!! I purchased these shoes as an alternative for a golf shoe. I initially thought with the Gortex protection they would work great which they did. I can’t imagine how these would hold up on the trail if they can’t survive a walk on the course. My bad for not doing this one week ago. Merrell will not provide any quality support or product loyalty. Both shoes came completely separate at the ball of the foot. Poor manufacturing not to last a year only using a couple times a week. This shoe would fail in 4 months if worn daily. Between my wife and I we have purchased over 10 pairs of shoes over last several year only to watch the quality and comfort decline. Review the photos for yourself. My last pair of Merrells!

May have finally found the unicorn of trail shoes!

I am on a never ending constant search for the ultimate trail shoe. I own and lawn and landscaping company. I spend my entire work day walking. I am either walking with a trimmer/edger in my hand or behind a lawnmower, for approximately fifteen to eighteen miles a day. As a result, I either completely break down and destroy the shell/insole or walk the bottoms right off of the shoe In 4 to 6 weeks. The issues, however, lasted me 7 weeks and we're just as comfortable the last day as they were the first. I've never had any foot pain At all with these shoes. As stated earlier, I am constantly searching for the ultimate combination. Of comfort and durability in a walking trail shoe. I couldn't be happier with these than I just ordered my second pair. Definitely, recommend them and give them five stars!!!

Look great. Seem narrow fit in the beginning but I think they need to be broken in.

Only lasted a bit over 4 months
Originally posted on Merrell
Let’s start with the good. These shoes are incredibly comfortable. Slip them on and you’re ready to hit just about any trail. Grip feels solid, they’re responsive, and they gave me the confidence to take on everything from rocky climbs to long canyon treks. For a while, they handled all of it really well. Now here’s where things take a turn. I told the lady at the store that I rack up a lot of miles. We’re talking daily trail runs, long hikes, elevation, heat, and rough terrain. She smiled and said, "These should definitely last you a year." They made it about four months. That’s it. The tread is now pretty much smooth and I’m out here trying to squeeze out one more solid descent without losing traction. If you’re someone who jogs occasionally or takes a casual weekend hike, they might last you longer and you’ll probably love them. But if you’re logging miles every single day like I am, the durability just doesn’t quite match the price tag. Great comfort and performance early on, but for high-mileage use, they came up short.

So far great! First big mission was fast and light up tucks to Washington and the rest of the northern Presi’s! Shoes are awesome, vibram soles work over every terrain with a semi stiff plate under foot. I use insoles in my shoes, so you have to if you really want to feel the power of the shoes.

Standing all day

Years ago, I used to wear a suit with leather shoes while participating in trade shows, standing all day. My feet would be very sore at the end of the day. I recently attended a trade show in San Antonio, TX, and instead of the suit and leather shoes, I wore jeans, a Hawaiian shirt, and the Merrell Agility Peak 5 sneakers. Huge positive difference in comfort.

Super Light and Merrell Comfortable

I’ve been wearing various Merrell shoes and boots for a very long time. They are always comfortable right out of the box. The Agility Peak 5’s are the lightest version that I’ve worn and I’m very happy with them. The sole is exceptionally grippy on the trail but is also all-day comfortable off the trail. As with all Merrell shoes, sizing is consistent.

Outstanding trail running shoes with great grip. Super comfortable, yet stable. The weight is great as well. It's because of these shoes that I was able to start running again. I highly recommend them!

Replaced the Hokas

I bought the Merrills instead of the Hokas because current Hoka colors are terrible. I like the Merrills as much as the Hokas in terms of performance (soles look identical to me).

Run Trail Tough
Originally posted on Merrell
They were a half size too big which put the inside arch support area in the wrong spot so I had to return them. I wear a size 9 but should have order an 8.5. Note: my running shoes are all size 9 except for my ASICS which always run 1/2 size big on me. So like ASICS I’d go a half size smaller. The width is good. The upper materials were not as soft as other trail running shoes I own (ASICS & Hoka), but ok. The uppers felt kind of crunchy and stiff. I did not order the waterproof version of these Merrell shoes. Having said that, I would still buy them in the proper size (1/2 size down). The midsole were comfortable and the outsole perfect.

Great trail runners for wet conditions. Hiked 40 miles or so over 3 days without breaking them in, barely a blister. They dried very quickly and didn’t leave my feet feeling beat up

Good shoe with a couple issues
Originally posted on Merrell
Great shoe except for a couple issues. Ran 20 miles in them right out of the box. Very comfortable but had to return because they were very slippery on wet surfaces, such as wet rocks/ gravel and sticks /roots. No shoes are great on there surfaces but the peak 5 was very slippery. Also the heal felt loose. If Merrell fixes these issues it will be my go to shoe for long ultras.
