I love my elf on the shelf pets, I named mine Rhaenyra. She had absolutely no damage and fits in perfectly for little scenes with our elf, Walter, our St. Bernard, Eleven, and our Reindeer, Armond. The story is adorable.

Overall this is a pretty good elf pet just recommend if you do the tradition for moving your elf around don't let the kid touch it unless you don't do that but by all means you can.
