Although I have no plans to hang the curtains until room is fully decorated, I am pleased with them with reasons to follow. M&S delivered them in no time at all even though I only selected standard delivery. I was astounded at how large and heavy the cellophane package was. Taking this into account, I feel that the item must match the given description concerning quality and thickness. I peeled open the top layer of cellophane and the curtains do look and feel soft and lush. I do not think I would find a nicer pair for this price range and quality anywhere else.

M&S used to stand for quality. Based on the many positive reviews I bought two pairs of the Velvet uktra thermal curtains despite a slight misgiving about the comments about creases. How bad could it be? After waiting two or three months for them to come back in stock they finally arrived today. Very thin poor quality with a pathetic duvet style lining providing the so called thermal bit. The curtains were full of creases. I ironed them four times on the back as directed. An utter waste of time they were still full of creases when they were put up. I have no doubt those creases will remain. I will be returning the other pair in disgust. I am now desperately saving up to buy a pair of quality curtains made in the UK.

Lovely thick linings make these soft curtains extra warm. My cats like to sleep between the curtain and lining and are very happy! I always struggle with the head tape on these type of curtains but managed to make them look acceptable even with the thick linings. Overall very happy with them. Excellent quality curtain and lining and they definitely make the room warmer.

Bought 3 pairs of these in teal as we have a large bay window and patio doors. They have transformed the room in looks and in warmth. The curtains were lighter in weight than I expected - I was worried they might be too heavy. The curtains come with useful hanging instructions which say to have the care instructions and pulled cords at the outer edge of the window. However, one of the pairs I ordered came with care instructions on the same end (two right hand curtains rather than one right and one left), which is why I've given 4 stars not 5.

Lovely quality curtains - good value and super feel

Taking one star off for "velvet" which is not very velvety. It doesn't have the rich lustre proper cotton velvet has. That said, they are perfect in every other way. I live next to a busy inner city road. The difference these curtains made is that I no longer have to use earbuds to sleep. They muffle a lot of the noise, they keep the room insulated, and they keep the light put completely, as I put them up on a ceiling rail. Overall great quality and value for money.

I bought these curtains for my daughter who is renovating her home. They are quite plush and hang beautifully. She is delighted.

I always read reviews before purchasing a product and these deserve their high rating. They FEEL really soft and thick. They LOOK wonderful (I chose the bronze colour and it’s perfect) also the price was excellent, even for someone on a tight budget like me. They keep out the bitter cold northern winter ( it’s been - 5 up here, no nasty draught with these).. I’m really impressed.

These curtains are excellent,beautiful colour,good quality.Unfortunately the way they were folded for packing has meant they have lots off crease which look unslightly.I have hung them hoping the creases will drop out but not sure they will.

Very good value - I have thermal blinds but wanted curtains as well. More than dress curtains and very well priced.
