step 1
Preheat the oven to 220°C/fan 200° C/Gas mark 7.
step 2
Cook the smashed potatoes (1 pack) for 40 minutes, according to the packaging instructions.
step 3
After 10 minutes, remove the steaks (2) from the fridge and allow them to come to room temperature for a further 10 minutes.
step 4
Season the steaks with salt and pepper and coat each one with the steakhouse seasoning (1 tsp). Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a frying pan over a high heat until hot. Carefully add the steaks and cook for 3-6 minutes for rare and 5-8 minutes for medium.
step 5
Meanwhile, bring a saucepan of water to the boil. Add the broccoli (120 g) and cook for 4-6 minutes, then drain and set aside.
step 6
Flip the steaks, add a knob of garlic and herb butter (1 knob) to the pan and baste with the melted butter.
step 7
Once the steaks are cooked to your liking, transfer them to a plate to rest.
step 8
Remove the smashed potatoes from the oven.
step 9
Plate up the steaks with potatoes and broccoli. Add a knob of garlic and herb butter (2 knobs) to each steak and serve alongside the salsa verde dip included with the potatoes.
