Fantastic quality!
Yes, I recommend this
These trousers are fabulous, I bought them as my sons school uniform and they feel great, wash great and look great! I love the extra inches in the hem so we don’t have to worry about any growth spurts and the adjustable waistline came in really handy as my son has a very small waist and long legs. All in all worth every penny!

Faulty School Trousers
No, I don't recommend this
Ordered 5 pairs of new school trousers, the adjustable waistband was faulty and stitched in to the seam on 3 out of 5.

Regular fit slim leg
Yes, I recommend this
Fit nicely on my grandson , it's a shamed they don't do leg sizes . I had to shorten (6 inches) it bit.

Fade quick
Yes, I recommend this
I find these pants are a really good fit but fade on seams/hem after a few washes, even using detergent for coloured clothing.

Trousers
No, I don't recommend this
Bought these for my 5 year old. The material is definitely durable, to the point of being coarse, my little boy refused point blank to try them on. For 1 pair of trousers, these were expensive. I would not recommend for under 8 years as rough to touch. I bought from m and s last year, but can’t remember which ones, they were fantastic, soft and still look like new 13 months on.

Good fit and quality would not consider buying school trousers elsewhere

Very comfortable school trousers
Yes, I recommend this
Bought these for my grandson to start his new school year last Thursday. M&S were the only ones who had his size (12 to 13). Bought two pairs in charcoal, the only colour allowed for his uniform and slim leg ( they're not allowed skinny fit). He was really pleased. He said they were really comfortable. I've always found the M&S trousers the best quality and fit.

School staple

Purchase every year for my son, who is going into year 9, but sizing is a little off this year as came up small so had to send back and reorder for the size up.

Not true to size

Next size up for my son as his last ones were a little snug- but I couldn’t even do these up

Disappointing fit
No, I don't recommend this
I couldn’t find the slim fit/slim leg trousers that fit my normal sized boys so well last year so ordered these instead. These are quite baggy on the waist/bottom but just about doable for two of my three boys,. For my third boy who is narrow but not skinny these completely swamp him, even having sized down, they are far too big on the waist/bottom (and much too short in the leg). These trousers would be great if you’re children have stout bottoms, avoid if the don’t or are long and lanky (like so many boys).

Well worth it.

My son is a bit on the skinny side but still fitted him well good fit and fabric.

Probelms with adjustable elastic
No, I don't recommend this
I purchased 2 of these trousers and one was fine, but the second pair had the belt loop sewed onto the adjustable elastic on both sides, so that the waist could not be made smaller. Unfortunately, I had already washed the trousers when I discovered this, so I was unable to return it. Not the quality that I expect from Marks and Spencers!

Long legged teenager

Nice style and extra long leg means no alterations. At £12 excellent value.

Faulty adjustable waist
No, I don't recommend this
I bought two pairs online and both had faulty stitching. The elastic had been sewn into the waistband and couldn't be adjusted. Both pairs will be returned and I am wary of ordering others as it seems it may be a common fault.

Best school trousers I’ve ever brought
Yes, I recommend this
I’ve tried lots of different makes of school clothes for my son. He is very hard on his clothes, especially trousers. These trousers looked as good at the end of the school year as the start. The adjustable waist and hems are fantastic.

Disappointing design
No, I don't recommend this
These are promoted as slim fit trousers however they are very baggy and completely oversized for age 5-6. I also was surprised that there is no actual zip on the front of the trousers for undoing them when using the bathroom facilities, only the option to pull them down from the waist. For the first time I’m quite disappointed with the product, however the quality for money and the actual quality of the trousers was good just a shame the design is so poor.

Tent like
No, I don't recommend this
I don’t think these are slim leg - my son is only just 4 and is quite small for his age but the age 3/4 trousers are drowning him, very baggy in the leg and room for another child in the waist! Actually, maybe I’ll pal him up with a friend and we can send them in one pair of trousers - money saving scheme!!

Faulty adjustable waist
No, I don't recommend this
What a shame that these trousers are not being checked for quality control. As other reviews have said, you cannot use the adjustable waist as the belt loop on the trouser waist band is sewn through the elastic to adjust the trousers. This makes the trousers far too big on the waist. 2 out of the three pairs were faulty. Very disappointed!

Great for school
Yes, I recommend this
These are lovely good quality trousers. The only slight problem I have with them is that they are not really slim fit. My son is average sized - maybe even a little on the fuller side, and they are quite loose on him. I think he might prefer the skinny fit ones. Perfect fit at the waist and height though.

slim leg trousers

these should be described as regular straight fit, they are not slim at all. but my son liked them anyway
