Hard soles, hot uppers
Originally posted on salomon.com

I wore these for two weeks for daily walks on a rural road. The soles were very hard, providing no cushion or support. The part across the top of my feet, in contrast, was like a hot, thick down pillow that made me sweat. I also didn't realize the shoes came with super skinny ties rather than laces. It was not easy to get uniform tightness. I can only assume I am not the target audience or right type of user.

Great comfort and fit. Light, good bounce and good grip. Great colour combination. These shoes are truly impressive!

Love my Salomons!!

These are my favorite hiking shoe. Huge pros for me are the lighter weight, the tread last for almost a year in the rockies, and the best - the shoelace is a pull to tighten and tucks under the tongue tab. These are one of my two favorite brands and the trail runners also work great on rugged hikes!!

That was my first purchase, and I was not disappointed. The shoes are amazing. Good for hiking and they are also waterproof. Just when you order get one size smaller otherwise they're gonna be too large.

I can hike a 4 mile hike for the first wearing as my break-in. Very grippy scrambling on rocks and so comfortable.

A cute hiking shoe love it! Love the colorway I love looking cute on my long hikes and didn't think it was possible til I found this shoe. The only thing is the inner ankle hurts sometimes, might have to break them in a bit more. I did a 5 mile hike the other day so hopefully by my next one it'll be more broken in.

Don’t fit like Salomon’s used to

Women’s Salomon trail runners have gotten shorter and wider. I moved to another brand for a while but missed the lacing system, so I tried again. I had to go up a size from the size I’ve always worn and they are too wide and my heel does not feel secure.

Quick lace issue

I’ve been wearing Salomon shoes for more than ten years and I am a big fan of its quick lace design. The new 360 hiking shoes are comfortable but the design of the tongue and the quick lace is subpar (sliding and became loose during hiking that required frequent adjustments). I understand 360 is positioned as a level down from the main line, however, the key elements of a hiking shoes cannot be compromised as they affect the hikers safety. I am disappointed that the brand seems to focus more on the lifestyle shoes than the technical shoes these days.

Thank you for your loyalty over the past ten years and for your detailed feedback on the 360 hiking shoes. We understand your concerns about the tongue design and Quiklace system performance during your hikes. While the 360 line is positioned differently within our range, we absolutely agree that safety and performance should never be compromised, regardless of the product tier. Your feedback about the tongue sliding and laces becoming loose is important information that we'll share with our product development team. We remain committed to our technical heritage and appreciate customers like you holding us accountable to those standards.
Good shoes

Love these shoes for their fit. However, the latest version's tongue tends to shift to the side revealing the top of my foot when I am hiking.

Great hiking shoe

The fit is perfect for my narrow foot. My toe doesn’t hit the end hiking down hill. I can count on the tread to hold me on slippery rocks at trail and haven’t shown any sign of wear with 6 months of hiking. I like the speed lacing, easy to snug them up for down hill but one has broken. I haven’t found a replacement.

Comfortable but not as sturdy as before

Several years ago I bought the Salomon ultra 360 and loved the fit and quality. I wore the shoe out. Because i have narrow feet, it was one of the few to fit. I ordered this new version, and the fit and comfort is still great, but the quality is not as good. The shoe lace is very thin (afraid it will break) and there is one less shoe less hole. I wish I could have the old pair back without the holes..

Salomon has changed

I have worn Salomon trail shoe for over 25 years. These shoes are not even close to what I have worn in the past. The construction of the shoe is terrible. The footbed of the shoe has changed and is terrible. In the past I have put Salomon on and they fit like a glove. These shoes hurt my feet so bad I could not even keep them on my feet. I landed up throwing these shoe out after just wearing them twice. That is how terrible these are.

I have wide feet with an in between size - so a hard fit. This is my second pair of Solomon hiking shoes and they are terrific. I am not a fan of the non-tie laces but I get used to them. Recommend

Comfortable once they're broken in

Double check the sizing chart and measure your feet before buying these. I wear 8.5 in pretty much every shoe but Salomon, for these I needed an 8. They are comfortable now that they're broken in (it took about 100 miles and 2 weeks on concrete) if you can't get through the extended time it takes. My only continued concern is that I can't get them tight enough to stop my feet from sliding without being very uncomfortable, so I tolerate the slipping. Even with that issue, I plan to buy another pair.

I loved these sneakers and wanted to keep them but they were still too big in my normal size. Typically an 8 and may try for a 7 1/2.

Perfect Hiking Shoe A+
Originally posted on salomon.com
Yes, I recommend this
My first pair purchased and won’t be my last. I’m 53 years old and have been an outdoor person all my life. I have hip issues and back issues from previous motorcycle accident. My home is in the middle of the forest and touches State Game Lands. Often when walking with the dog I will wear a normal tennis shoe, a muck boot, etc. Because of my issues, my gait has become weaker, most forward movement and incline stepping creates pain. Typically my feet hitting uneven terrain, moss, rocks, sticks… all create a slide that normal people do not feel or notice. For me, the motion makes me unsure of myself, hesitant, and always wondering which step I won’t be able to do, or will be my last. How pleasantly surprised I was when for the first time in years, my feet hitting the earth felt secure and safe. Solid contact and gave me unfounded confidence. I’m even a bit tearful writing this. I am thrilled that I can enjoy, explore, photograph the place I call home and beyond. I do not like a tight toe box and found this a wider cut leaving my toes to be comfortable and not crunched. I consider my width as normal. Plenty of room, making the shoe comfortable as walking in bare feet. I’m an average size 9 and read that others felt the shoe was true to size. I did find the shoe to be a bit big on me. I wished I was able to have tried on in a store. But, living remote, small town - that’s not an option. Next time I order… and I will… I will size down by at least half size. I was not used to the shoe string/pull feature. It’s nice to get tight, and release quickly, or just a bit to tweak for comfort. I apologize for being long winded. If you made it this far, cheers! Enjoy your shoes and happy trails!

Disappointed

If a person has wide or narrow feet than it's a nightmare finding comfortable footwear. This 2nd pair doesn't accommodate my narrow feet as well. I'll probably get blisters if I wear them hiking. I decided to keep them as a walking show because I really like the colors.

Too big

I got these in a 7.5, which is my normal size. They are too big in the back by the heel. I wore them several times to see if I could break them in and make them work, so now I'm stuck with them.
