Large size but short sleeves and short body

My daughter is 14 yrs old, 5'10" tall and 36" chest but we are unable to find a girl's school blazer that fits. Why is the assumption made that a broad shouldered girl will be short in stature? We bought the largest chest size to try and get round the length issue even though the body would be too big but nothing doing. By contrast buy the navy blazer in the same chest size but the boy's version and the fit is much better, everything is longer. So we have resorted to this version (even a chest size down) but the school are not happy as they want her to wear a more fitted design and not the boy's box shape. M&S please take note, we can't be the only ones with this issue and I'm not sure that she has stopped growing!

We found this blazer to be on the larger size - daughter 12 soon and ordered 13, she is normal build and the blazer was quite baggy and the sleeves very long. Probably true to size and a 12 would have been a good fit. It was thinner than I expected. I thought for the price and name it would be a thicker traditional blazer, but very much like the fashion fit one but just straight and not tailored.

Theses blazers are hard wearing and wash very well. Drip dry very quickly. Last one lasted for 2 years. No bobbling in shoulder from carrying bag. Very pleased. Well worth the money. Highly recommend.

Where have your fitted girls navy blazers gone? Very disappointing that this is the only option for navy blazers. The material is fine but the style and fit awful. It is short in the arms and just looks like a box. Considering it is for older girls it is very unstylish.
