The pewter lamp is lovely and looks really sophisticated. The height of the lamp is also good so you can easily read a book by the lamp. The shade was fine. The disappointing situation was there was no bulb when the lamp was unpacked. This meant having to go out and buy a bulb, which delayed getting the lamp ready for use. (That is not the lamps fault!) I'm pleased with the lamp and friends have commented positively

I was looking for a pair of table lams to sit on top of an antique bookcase. I had in mind a Laura Ashley vibe: understated and timeless. These fitted the bill precisely. If I was mean, I’d take one star away as they don’t allow me to use any of my huge store of lightbulbs, as they are led. I’m not. They get full marks.

After looking on numerous sites I found this table lamp. It’s the right height. So tall enough to sit behind a photo frame. The colour of the shade didn’t go with my decor so I fitted a different one. But perfect otherwise
