Petit Noir Grenache - Case of 6
Sorry, this item is no longer available
A luscious red wine, full of fresh raspberry and crushed black pepper aromas. Raspberries again on the palate, satin-smooth at first, then leading to a crisp, mulberry, bramble and pepper finish.
English winemaker Hugh Ryman moved to France with his family in 1974. His intent to make wine took him far and wide: after finishing his studies at Bordeaux university, he worked in Australia for a year, then travelled all over the world, making wine in over 17 different countries. For this red, he has sourced wonderfully intense Grenache fruit from gnarly 40 year old bush-vines in the Minervois.

I ordered 5 cases of different wines for my husband. Everyone was good but this wasn't the 'excellent' one.

Light and easy quaffer
Yes, I recommend this
We enjoyed this as a simple and gluggable alternative to a Beaujolais or light Spanish red. Great with a winter BBQ. Not sure it is worth the full price but good value for the £5 odd a bottle we paid.

Different strokes for different folks
Yes, I recommend this
Find it hard to agree with the very twitchy review which heads up the list. Acidic? surely luscious and flavour-packed, verging on the sweet. Will not keep? Au contraire; I agree that this is true with a lot of clarets, but that has to do with the cabernet sauvignon varietal, of which there is none present here. At the current sale price plus additional discounts, a veritable steal!

not value for money even at half price
No, I don't recommend this
Too acidic, I couldn't drink this wine twice in a week. It does not keep so you need to finish the bottle content the same night.
