Nordina Extending Dining Table & 6 Chairs

It was well packed, easy to erect and looks good,

It is exactly what it promises. Good quality, minimum assebly required and very comfortable.

The table and chairs were fine, looked sturdy until one week after purchase one of the chairs broke as my son in law sat on it. Am waiting for it to be collected and replaced

We purchased these items from M&S because of their reputation for good quality at a reasonable price. However the furniture was very poorly finished. The wooden table had been filled with a pink coloured wood filler and it stuck out like a sore thumb. Neither the table nor the chairs had been properly planed or sanded and as a result we have got a number of splinters in our hands and on our legs. In one place the screws had come through from underneath the table and in a couple of places the wood had other defects which spoil its appearance. Even if the furniture was cheap we would have expected a better product. However, we complained to M&S and they have arranged for a company to come and inspect the furniture.

Functional this is exactly the design we wanted. However, the wood is rubbish. We got splinters as soon as opening the package. We tried to sand it down but it is the wood that is no good. We have now stained and varnished it to at least give some protection but still it is rough and very far from the quality you would expect from M&S. Spend a little more and buy something better.

Great looking table and set of chairs. Love the extension functionality. Feels quite sturdy so far and easy to assemble. But agree with other reviews - would have preferred the smoother finish on the product to prevent small splinters in skin and on clothing.
