Bad design, horrendous quality

Completely unstable due to how the attachment of the flower to the pot is designed. At least one of the four pieces inevitably pops out any time you want to change anything on the plant. Enjoy painstakingly taking all the dirt out in order to play whac-a-mole (pop a piece back in, another comes loose) for a few minutes, unless one of your small flower pieces fell into the ring at the bottom, then triple that time. The triangular petals also constantly fall off when adjusting them. Looks like dog water too, there was no budget for pieces to cover up the black support stalks? Much uglier than our other botanical sets (chrysanthemum + plum blossom), but costs double because it's bigger. Glad our eyesore is more noticeable! You'd have more fun putting your money in a blender. Received dozens of "product.review.error"s trying to upload this until I changed my rating to 5 stars and edited it back btw. Crazy that this website doesn't even support paragraph breaks lol.

Oh no! It must be frustrating for your set to pop out anytime you are adjusting your LEGO® Orchid set! If you ever want to revisit your build, we suggest re-building your set. There may be pieces slightly off from where it should be. Please make sure all pieces are tightly pressed together. It can make all the difference! I absolutely loved building this orchid! It was a calming, enjoyable project and the finished piece looks so elegant on my shelf. The flowers and leaves feel surprisingly realistic, and I appreciate how you can adjust the stems and display it your way. Great for adults who enjoy something creative and decorative.

Unstable for display, it will break

This set was fun to put together up until the stems stability. The simplest nudge and they pop out of the base. The green vines at the base of the stems which you connect to the stems base barely hangs on. Blowing on it popped it off. Now I did complete it and placed on my desk shelf for display. Bad idea. A bump to the desk, a touch to the orchid set the stems pop off and fall over. Good luck putting the set back together without having to take it apart. I managed to get the stems back on a few times (and yes I did move the set to a more stable area for display) but after the last time I had to disassemble pieces to get the base to click back in. If you have kids, cats, energetic bouncy dog, etc do not buy. This orchid set easily pops off the base then falls over and well you are lucky if it doesn't shatter when it falls.

It must be frustrating having a set you wanted displayed popping off or fall over! If you would like to re-build the set, we'd suggest double checking the build as there may be a piece slightly off from where it's meant to be. This set is my all-time favourite from the Botanical line at LEGO. If you are considering one to buy first, I would recommend this one. It's the best size and the best price for what you get out of all the other botanicals. It is perfect for some room decor. The only thing is that the brown 'dirt' pieces are loose in the bottom, but you just have to ensure that it's not in a place where it could fall over which is pretty easy because the base is quite heavy. Overall, I definitely recommend

I had really high expectations for the LEGO Orchid set, and overall it was such an enjoyable build. The instructions were clear, the building process was relaxing, and the color palette is absolutely stunning. Once completed, it makes a beautiful decorative piece that brightens up any space. The only downside is stability — the plant isn’t as steady as I would have liked. Some parts fall apart a little too easily, which can be frustrating if you want to move it around. That said, it still looks gorgeous on display, and I’m happy to have it as part of my collection

I bought this for my wife and was very surprised how much I enjoyed the build - I usually go for a lot higher piece count sets. I enjoyed it so much that I purchased additional Botanical sets. This set is very simple, yet very detailed.

I started to buy up the whole flower collection. I can never keep a plant alive. My cat likes to eat any flowers and plants I buy. I love Lego so I figured why not. Orchids are hard in general to keep alive. This one is easy to keep alive. I appreciate Lego for coming out with this one.

I received this set as a Christmas gift from my partner. The pictures don’t do this set justice! I don’t keep plants in my house thanks to having cats that enjoy eating them and knocking them over, so this is a fine substitute. I love how you can “trim” the stems and vines on this set to make them fit your space. I opted to make mine shorter and fuller to fit in a caged wall shelf.
