Jersey Midi Skater Skirt

…. fabric a little thin and very creased when it arrived - did iron out ok though. Still prefer the jersey panel A line skirt M&S offered a few years ago. Slightly more expensive but better hang to the garment and the skirt wore very well.

I liked the pattern it makes it feel like summer and it is very bright like the days of summer

Ordered this online which is often a bit of a gamble when the item is unseen instore. it is a good mid to maxi length skirt with a basic elasticated for stretch ungathered waistband so it pulls on comfortably. Bought size 20 and have a sedentary job that require a smart sensible outfit but need to be comfortable. The jersey is a light to medium weight which is fortunately not see through unlike the linen version that I tried. Suitable for between seasons or British summer. The skirt has a nice flow of movement to it. Intuitively felt pocket inserts would be practical but there are none. It could be styled for formal or casual wear with sandals in summer or boots when cooler. I have a wool version which was available a couple of seasons ago that is great in cold weather. This is a similar style so works year round pairs with jumper or too. Reminds of a practice skirt for theatre. Similar length and fullness.

Thank goodness M&S have returned to items of quality for a good price. Bit more like the M&S standard I expect. Good fit slightly longer than expected but very happy

This is a lovely skirt, light and perfect for warm weather as it is not ‘see through’ and therefore doesn’t need an under slip. It’s light and a little floaty, but I sadly had to return it because the waist kept riding up, leaving the skirt too short for me.

The length of the skirt is deceiving on the model as she is quite tall for average height of 5'5 it sits longer but not quite ankle grazer length as that is what I was looking for. Nice material the 14 sits better than the 16 however the elasticated band would have been better a little looser so that it does not dig into body and allow it to sit at above the hips rather than high waisted as this is. Also I think this style is very versatile and would have been better if it was a below the knee length rather than midi and would make a great alternative to shorts or beach cover up. NOT A FAN OF HIGHWAISTED natural or just below waist is a little more forgiving.

I bought this skirt online and am really glad that I did. It’s very comfy with the elastic waist and hangs well.

Wanted to like this skirt… thought it would look good with boots come winter but unfortunately it didn’t sit right on me. The waist band was nice and snug but then there was a whole host of fabric flowing from it that made my hips look enormous.. if you nice and slim hipped it’s ideal.. a good length and for the price good value.. but for me no and had to be returned ☹️

I loved this skirt, but sadly I ordered the wrong size as I have recently lost weight and had to return. I’m going to try them on in store to be sure.

While this skirt matches description well and is of good quality, plus the fact I have already purchased numerous jersey skirts in same style in various patterns this one just does not do it for me. It just looks dull and boring on, very mumsy. Would have loved if it suited me as I was looking for a nice midi black skirt. Will have to go back I'm afraid.
