Glycerin 22 Running Trainers

Product code: T129008T

About this style

The Glycerin 22 trainers from Brooks are designed with road running in mind. They're made in a flexible lace-up style, with breathable mesh uppers for lasting freshness. The brand's DNA Tuned nitrogen-infused cushioning soaks up shocks to protect your joints. Small cells in the toes make for energising toe-offs, while larger cells in the heels ensure plush landings.

The toe box is narrower than the previous models and is therefore not as comfortable.

The shoe feels supportive—particularly around the ankle and heel

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shoe offers a soft, plush ride thanks to its upgraded DNA Tuned nitrogen‑infused midsole, which provides great shock absorption during daily walking

These are Narrower than Most

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LOVED this shoe, but after 100 miles and my right foot going numb on my long runs after 7-8 miles, I had to retire them early. Felt great for a bit, but alas, my foot has changed and these are too narrow, which is sad because I loved the fit. I even tried a couple 14 milers with them with some toe cushions, but it wasn't working. Brooks needs to offer more shoes in a 2E wide style for faster runners. Hopefully, the Ghost Max can get me a BQ time that I need for next year in May.

Confortable and soft. I'd like a little more material to cover the tounge - possibly a little more shoe lace.

Great sneakers that are supportive and durable

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great senaker/shoe for my long brisk daily 5 mile walks as part of my overall fitness routine. Supportive, comfortable, and doesnt beat up my feet and toes like some other brands do. I'm 73 and appreciate how well made and durable the shoes are, and the fact that the laces stay tied so I'm not stopping all the time like other brands that I've worn. Brooks makes great shoes!

Great cushioned trainer

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this shoe. I’ve put hundreds of miles into them and the whole time I felt supported and my foot has been well cushioned. I’m a bigger guy and the extra foam in the heel area helps prevent my feet and ankles from feeling overly worked. This is my third pair of the glycerin 22’s and I’ll continue running in Brooks glycerin for as long as they keep feeling like these do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great shoes for long distance running, I used them for over six months and they were still in good condition and running well. I did purchase a new pair due to some tearing on the back and sides of the shoe, but overall, super comfortable and a great pair of shoes!

Fit and Function - perfect

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these for the discounted price but after training for a week in them, I would have purchased for the functionality and quality. The fit is amazing and true. I am so please with these shoes and will be looking at the Glycerin 22 line in the future when I need to replace these (hopefully that will be a long time).

My 60hr a week at the Hospital shoes.

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cushioning of the shoe is great but there is too much flex in the toe box. It has bent a crease on the medial side of my big toe on both shoes. Make my big toes sore by the end of the day. My older Glycerin brooks didn’t do this but it was time for a new pair. The cushion is what keeps me in this new pair of brooks.

Possibly defective

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

I don't know if I got a defective pair or what but these hurt my feet on day 1. My left foot specifically on the outer side, but not the right side. These seem a bit narrow in the middle and I bought wide. I ususally wear ghost or ghost max but wanted to try something different because the quality of Brooks shoes has seemingly gotten worse every year over the past 5 years. I've seen many others long term brooks users complaining about the quality as well. I thought I would wear brooks for the rest of my life when I first tried them on 9 years ago but I don't know anymore.

Wide Toe Bix Good for Bunions.
