About this style
The Glycerin 22 trainers from Brooks are designed with road running in mind. They're made in a flexible lace-up style, with breathable mesh uppers for lasting freshness. The brand's DNA Tuned nitrogen-infused cushioning soaks up shocks to protect your joints. Small cells in the toes make for energising toe-offs, while larger cells in the heels ensure plush landings.

Disappointing Change in an Otherwise Trusted Running Shoe
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been a long-time Brooks customer and have owned multiple generations of Brooks running shoes over the years. Unfortunately, the Glycerin 22 is the worst pair I’ve owned to date. The most noticeable issue is the higher heel design compared to previous models. For me, this change has caused consistent blistering every time I wear the shoe—something I’ve never experienced with earlier versions of the Glycerin. Rather than feeling protective or supportive, the new design has resulted in discomfort and, frankly, foot damage. This is especially disappointing because the Glycerin line has always been a reliable, comfortable shoe for me. The changes made in the 22 feel like a step backward, not an improvement. Based on my experience, I would not recommend upgrading to the Glycerin 22, particularly if you’ve been happy with prior versions. I hope Brooks reconsiders this design direction in future releases.

Shoe is very tight and toe box is too shallow
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pro: Shoes look nice. That's it. Cons: Shoe runs way too narrow and foot box and toe box is extremely shallow and created foot pain as I tested them on a walk. Very disappointed, especially after seeing all the good reviews. I had the Glycerin 20s and loved them. These 22's run extremely small.

12 Marathons and counting....
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have run all 12 of my marathons in the Glycern's over the years. Their cushion and support are second to no brand !! However this year they decided to put this elastic bad (similar to the "Stealth version") which keeps hitting my ankle. Took a while to break it in. Hopping they stop it for the 23's when they come out

Tight fit
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes run small. Even with the "wide" width I think I need to go up a half size from what a normally wear do get room for my toes. The cushion heel is comfortable, but it can throw off your balance until you get use to it.

The 22 is an Upgrade
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pleased with the Glycerin 22. I was already familiar with and pleased with the 21. I find the 22 to be an upgrade in comfort and fit. I’m a size 13 2E and it seems a touch wider than the 21 which works perfectly for me.
