BRING THE HOLIDAYS HOME
Get a taste of Italian sunshine with our ideas for serving the ultimate aperitivo at home
With my Italian travel plans on hold, I’m looking for ways to transport myself to Mediterranean shores. My staycation set-up? I’ll be enjoying the Italian tradition of aperitivo – small plates and an aperitif – on a long afternoon in the garden. I’ll be sipping our new aperitivo spritz, made with refreshing white wine and intense orange bitters. To eat, I’ll put together a board of our finest charcuterie, nocellara olives and homemade bruschetta, featuring our super-sweet Isle of Wight tomatoes. To make the bruschetta, toast baguette slices, then rub with garlic and olive oil. Top with tomatoes dressed with white wine vinegar, olive oil and seasoning. Finish with fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of our truffle balsamic glaze. Bellissima!
