Preheat the oven to 160°C fan. Halve the smaller M&S tomato selection (1 pack) and quarter the larger ones. Arrange cut side up on a large baking sheet with the M&S Remarksable Value garlic (4 cloves) (leave the skin on). Drizzle generously with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Bake for 1 hour, until the tomatoes have become jammy and are starting to blister slightly around the edges.

Meanwhile, butter a 20cm tart case. Unroll the ready-rolled shortcrust pastry (1 pack) and roll out around 5cm wider than the case. Use your rolling pin to lift the pastry into the case. Trim off excess pastry then use to push the pastry into the corners of the case. Chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.

Beat the M&S free-range mixed size eggs (3) in a bowl and stir in the M&S Cornish cruncher cheddar (50 g) and whipping cream (250 ml), stirring to combine. Squish the garlic cloves from their skins and mix into the cream.

Once the tomatoes are done, turn the oven up to 180C fan. Prick the pastry all over with a fork, line with baking parchment and fill with baking beans. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove the parchment and bake for a further 5-10 minutes, until the pastry is crisp and golden brown.

Spread the M&S sundried tomato paste (2 tbsp) over the base of the pastry. Pour over the egg and cream mix then arrange the tomatoes on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until set and golden brown. Trim away the excess pastry. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into wedges. Serve with a salad or steamed greens.
step 6 Spread the M&S sundried tomato paste (2 tbsp) over the base of the pastry. Pour over the egg and cream mix then arrange the tomatoes on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until set and golden brown. Trim away the excess pastry. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into wedges. Serve with a salad or steamed greens.
