This light is suitable for use outside, but the mains adaptor needs to be inside or in a weatherproof outdoor socket. The outdoor socket should have a cover and a rubber seam to keep out moisture and be rated IP44. If you do no have an outdoor socket you can feed the cable into a garage, outbuilding, shed, or through a window.

Lights did not work
No, I don't recommend this
The remote control does not work properly nothing happens when you switch on the ON button. However, timer/off switch seem to be OK. Very disappointed - as I cannot now use the lights - such a shame.

Disappointed
Bought firstly the 100 bulb set in this range. Thought they were very good and decided to get the 300 set and bought them on line. Was initially disappointed that I had to pay for delivery rather than being able to collect in store. But accepted the cost for what I hoped would complete our Christmas outside decorations. But found the 300 bulb product was shorter in length than the 100 set as the bulb spacing was considerably less. Thereby making them unsuitable for our needs. Shame.
