The material is lovely and soft so feel nice to touch. When wearing the fact that the gauge is quite heavy, you can feel the stitches on the bottom of your foot which is not particularly comfortable.

Bought for my daughter-in-law for Christmas, who had asked for socks. They were thicker and larger/longer than expected, really boot socks, but she seemed pleased with them. I’m sure they would be warm to wear.
