[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have quite a few of these, but my daughter-in-law had a 'smashing time' with some of them recently (by accident), so I have replaced some. They are sturdy and hard wearing (usually), and my husband likes them because they aren't 'poncy' like some of the mugs that I have handed to him and the bulders in the past!!

We like the range but quality/appearance very inconsistent, the mugs loose their glaze and colour very quickly when cleaned using a dishwasher, the range is described as dishwasher safe but this not true unfortunately, I use Denby for daily use and entertainment so my sets are 24 piece settings e.g. 24 dinner plates etc therefore I'm am committed to the range, maybe this could be described as part of the character of Regency Green!

Hi Andy, I have passed this onto our customer services team for them to review and get back to you to rectify. The range is dishwasher safe, but like all glazes with constant use in the dishwasher discolouration will happen over time and so we recommend using low temperatures and liquid detergents, and hand-washing is preferred. The colours may vary slightly in different batches too- but not enough to be very noticeable but of course with older pieces these colour differences might be more profound. Purchased as a 9th wedding anniversary present to ourselves ( for pottery), not disappointed. Probably the start of us adding to them and eventually having a full dinner set! Really nice to drink from and tea stays hot for ages.

Another lovely pair of mugs arrived today for me. I ordered more when I realised they were the only ones in my vast collection of mugs I'd acquired which hadn't stained. Must be something to do with the quality of glaze. No more bleaching and scrubbing for me.
