Husband loves these shorts
Yes, I recommend this
I bought a pair of these green shorts for my husband last year and he loves them. They are a great long length just above the knee, nice heavy cotton, and loads of pockets which he loves, for phone, wallet etc whilst walking/ hiking. They aren’t dress shorts, but are great for everyday wear. Got them on an offer, so bought grey and blue this year. He is very happy Bit of a pain to iron though! Haha

No, I don't recommend this
I bought two pairs of cargo shorts, 1 pair MS 38, perfect fit. The white stuff far too small, I doubt if they would fit a 36 waist.
