Size 10 far too big - returned - no 8 petite on line but managed to get one from a store size 8 a perfect fit.- a good coat at the price - we’ll done Marks

I was pleased to get an up to the minute coat in a petite fit It did actually fit well but I was disappointed in the cloth. It felt quite flimsy and crumpled easily. I did not like the zip pockets.. the cloth was puckered at the zip and zips on pockets scratch your hands. I took it back.

I purchased this lovely styled coat in petite oline. It is a lovely understated style, smart and a wear any time design. I like the current check trend and the fact that this coat has a small check patterned design, enables this coat to be worn with any sizing as it "slims" the figure. The sleeve length is just right (I have sometimes experience the petite sizing variable with sleeve length coats) and this is spot on! Well done M & S. Very pleased with this one!

I liked this coat very much, but it was too wide in the body. I have ordered a size down and am hoping it will not be too tight across the shoulders. A nice short coat, that makes a change from a parka.

Bought over the internet. Had to return as poor quality. Press studs hard to use and did not fit right on the chest. Please M and S con we have the quality back that we used to have. A similar coat at a cheaper store was on sale at half the price!

Lovely coat but not for me, it has a small check but also a larger check in the material which did nothing for my round size 18 body so returned.

Lovely material and good fit but so badly made had to return. The hem at back was at least 2” shorter than front of coat. The top press stud was so badly sewn in that it pulled collar totally out of shape. I looked when in store returning the coat to find a replacement but unfortunately all the coats of the same style had this same problems! Again Marks no quality control,

I loved this coat, especially as it was in the petite range. It closed with two decorative popper type fastenings, and although they did up well when the coat was laid flat, one popped open as I moved when I tried it on, so regretfully, I had to return it.

I'm 5'2 size 14. Length good as was the sleeve length. But somehow it still didn't fit quite as well as a petite size should in that it looked better when I lifted the shoulder up, When done up it didn't fit smoothly on the right hand side. The left side was fine. It definitely a boxy shape with no discernible waist. But it's a nice coat so I'll order it again to see if the finish is better. Not too thick either. So it won't keep you toasty in minus 10 but will be great for your average winter. A plea to all the petite women out there - please ask M&S to make more petite coats available to us. There are loads of standard coats, but not so much for us! Thanks.

I was pleased that this came in petite sizing, as it is a good looking coat. Once it was on I knew it wasn't for me - it was too straight and shapeless and seemed to accentuate my shortness (5'2"). Also, it didn't look good with a bulky jumper underneath. Reluctantly returned.

Well I bought this instore today.. i m so happy with this coat only being 5 ft 2 and havin short arms! I was looking for a short padded type jacket but I decided to try this.I ll be wearing this for work for early mornings and out of work too! It fits perfectly for my figure anyway. I m between a 12 n 14 The 12 fits better the 14 was too wide on the body...in my opinion.So happy this is petite its difficult enough to buy in petite now.Great colour and love the press studs very easy to throw on. I have short legs and it sits above my knee I love it. We ll done M n S. I guess people have different opinions because of different body types but you have to try them on and buy it while you see it!

I'm so disappointed with this coat, especially after reading other positive reviews. I feel the fit is wrong. I got a size 8 as a 6 can sometimes be too tight on the bust for me but this is massive on the body. There just seemed to be so much width. However, as another reviewer did mention, it is slightly narrow across the shoulders, not drastically so though and I would have kept it if it wasn't so massive in the body. I don't think getting a 6 would help as that probably WOULD be too narrow on the shoulders and I have a pretty narrow back. I'm really fed up as I hate having to send things back. The length isn't too generous either and I'm only 5ft. tall. It is above my knee and some of my dresses would be showing an inch or two below this coat. It is also not especially thick despite being wool so would not be that warm.

Yes it is a really nice and perfect for my petite 5ft 1” height. I bought it on line, tried it on in store and brought it home. Unfortunately being a picky person I noticed that the stripes hadn’t been matched up, my partner said no one would notice but as someone who used to make her own clothes I always matched the stripes or pattern, I would have been happy to pay more for stripes being the same all round the coat and for this reason I will be taking it back, if it’s a small matter to you then buy it because it is a lovely coat and well worth the money.

Coat and sleeve length are good for me, and I’m 5’2”
