Dust off the winter blues and welcome spring by giving your kitchen a much-needed spruce. Here are some projects to try:

Clean the microwave – microwave a bowl of water with lemon slices or a splash of vinegar for a few minutes to loosen all the grime.
Deep-clean the fridge – take all the shelves and drawers out of your fridge and scrub them with soap and water.
Hoover crumbs – use the crevice tool on your hoover to clean hard-to-reach places, like under your toaster.
Clean the drain – sprinkle bicarb down the drain to deodorise, finishing with boiling water.
Maintain cutting boards – scrub a wooden cutting board with half a lemon and a sprinkle of coarse salt, then coat with oil for the best finish.
Clean the bins – scrub your bins with soap and water and wipe down the outside.
Declutter ingredients – sort through your store cupboard and spice rack and toss anything that’s out of date.
