Stretched along a ridge atop the Côtes de Castillon region, Château La Gasparde occupies an enviable position in Bordeaux’s right bank area, with panoramic views across the picturesque Dordogne river. Estate owner and head winemaker Jean-Pierre Janqueix crafted this wine from 85% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon grown on well-draining slopes with good exposure to the sun. Left unoaked, the wine has a vibrancy and fruity richness that makes it perfect for young drinking.
