Baggy chinos
Yes, I recommend this
I bought the navy stripe chinos as I had the lighter ones a couple of years ago and loved them. Theses are a much thinner fabric and a lot baggier in the leg so I was a little disappointed. I have kept them as they have grown on me, very comfortable to wear and look nice with a denim jacket and a variety of tops.

These are lovely well fitting trousers. Slightly big around the waist but that’s usually the case for me. Lovely quality fabric, very smart and a good length. Would prefer 2 rear pockets but 1 will do!

size problems

having bought a similar pair of M&S chinos last year in size 12 (which i am still wearing) I bought these in the same size 12 but oh dear they were too small. I am old fashioned and don't order on line preferring to see the goods to determine the feel of the material) Please M&S get your act together over sizing. I used to be able to rely on buying an item in my size knowing it would fit when i got it home but that seems to be a thing of the past, so inconvenient having to make a return journey to return the chinos in store.

Nice to have trousers not in a plain colour
I am very happy with the trousers. I bought size 10 small because size 8 was sold out. A few days later size 8 was no longer sold out, so I bought those too. I have only two comments. Size 8 short is shorter than size 10 short, which I had not anticipated. And the narrow stripes do not show up well on the website (particularly the "White Mix") so it's difficult to know what the trousers look like until they arrive.
