Castello Pewter Bed Frame

This is a beautiful looking bed but a very poor design means that the connecting railings at the footend and the headend are too small for the holes in the bed posts whixh therefore means they rattle if the bed is even touched. Can comment on what it would be like to sleep in as did not try this given the noise. Technican has been out to look and case has been referred to the Furnitire Ombudsman. Expected an awful lot better for the price. Very disappointed. Would give 0 stars if this option was possible. In short if you want a bed that rattles each time you move (in my case even walking by it!) buy this. If you want a good nights sleep I would recommend buying an alternative bed.

Despite reading some negative views regarding this bed I decided to purchase it based on previous experience having bought the same model in cream some years ago and once again I am totally satisfied with the quality of the product and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a substantial, solid and sturdy steel framed bed.

From the online photo I was not drawn to this bed, but when I saw it in store I knew it was the one for me! It's a very grand, smart bed, and has a huge amount of clearance below it - perfect if you want to store anything underneath. I have not experienced any rattling or squeaking as a few others have mentioned. In fact I find it's very sturdy for a metal frame. I also can't recommend the delivery service enough. The two delivery men arrived on time, were very friendly and polite, made a point of being very clean and tidy (door mats and fresh protective covers over their work boots) and had the bed built in mere minutes. M&S were also very obliging for me to make changes to my delivery date (I was moving house and didn't have a specific date for quite some time). Overall I'm very happy with both my purchase, and the service from M&S.

I ordered this bed in June as loved the look of it. I am now on my 3rd replacement and it is still not right. The bars at the end are not fixed so rattle and rotate. The worst problem is the squeak/creaking noise when you move in the bed. It is very annoying and disturbing when trying to sleep! Each time I have complained to M&S they have sent a technician out to look at the problem and they have recommended a replacement. Looking back at previous reviews from 2014 I now see others have had similar problems. M&S tried to offer me a very small refund to just keep the bed, each time I declined as wanted a fault free item. I am now asking for the bed to be taken away and for a full refund. Very disappointed.

It not only looks good it is good. The most comfortable bed we have had so far. Just beware that the legs do come out beyond the frame of the bed so check before you but, I had to dismantle my fitted bedside cabinets to accommodate the bad, but it was well worth it. Also go for the more expensive mattress with the fitted topper, luxury indeed.

Nervous about purchasing online not having seen it in store as I am fussy re quality. Need not have worried, delivery men did everything, even took packaging away. Great bed, good quality and looks more expensive than it actually is. Really pleased with purchase and would recommend.

Really beautiful bed. Cannot recommend highly enough.

This is a bed which was worth waiting for. It looks excellent with my natural coloured carpet and silk cream emulsion wall.In addition the metal matches my metal curtain pole.The space underneath is deep allowing large as well as small items to be stored.Perhaps most important of all is that there are no squeaks when lying or turning about in the bed so it appears that M&S have actually taken note of earlier more negative reviews and rectified the matter.The bed appears very nice online but I would personally recommend that you see it in one of the larger furniture stores before making your final decision.

I love this bed!! It's very good quality and looks very elegant and smart in my bedroom - after replacing an old leather bed, it really has improved the look of my room. In my opinion, it looks much more expensive than it actually was. Like the more recent reviewers, I've also not had any problems with squeaking/creaking like past reviewers have suggested, so I can only assume M&S have fixed this problem. The delivery guys did a great job of putting up the bed and took away the packaging, my only slight complaint was that they left a lot of mess in the corridor of my apartment. I also paid £25 for them to take my old bed, which I felt was worth it, although I did have to take apart my old bed myself. Overall, I would definitely recommend this bed!

Already have the cream & brass double version in guest room & have been using it ourselves... loved it so much we have ordered the silver king to take back overseas with us. The quality of this bed is much better than any of the other metal framed beds that we have looked at by far. We haven't had any of the noise & creaking that others have experienced.

I was a little worried about previous reviews that I had read but I can honestly say this bed is fantastic. Superb quality and excellent service.

Love this bed frame it is so stylish. It is quite high up which means there is loads of storage underneath.
